This is an absolutely fantastic centre. This is our 2nd year with Guthrie St and our boys have been attending daycare, 3-year old kinder and 4-year-old kinder through this centre. I cannot fault the service. We have been welcomed into Guthrie St like family. I know undoubtedly our boys are being looked after with all the care, respect and love they deserve while they are learning and growing in new and big ways. Our boys have come out of their shells and are engaging so much more with everyone around them. They love going so much that they ask if we are going to daycare/kinder almost every time we get ready and go out in the car, and every day we leave the carpark they say "bye daycare, see you tomorrow!" Could not more highly recommend Guthrie St.

Our Bush Kinder program provides children with the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in a natural outdoor environment. Through weekly excursions and nature-based play, children develop confidence, resilience, and curiosity as they engage with the world around them. Bush Kinder supports key areas of development including problem-solving, social skills, and independence, while fostering a strong connection to nature. Guided by our experienced educators, children are encouraged to take safe risks, explore their interests, and build a sense of belonging in a calm and engaging outdoor setting. This program is a unique part of our curriculum and plays an important role in preparing children for school and lifelong learning.

We have had such a wonderful experience at Guthrie Street Childcare Centre. My son has struggled with separation anxiety and being in larger groups, as well as delays in his speech. Since moving to Guthrie Street, the change in him has been incredible. His confidence has grown so much and his speech has improved significantly. The smaller centre environment has been absolutely perfect for him — it’s helped him feel safe, supported and more comfortable socialising with other children. Every single staff member has been amazing and genuinely caring. They feel like an extension of our family, and I always know my son is loved and well looked after when he’s there. I am so grateful for everything they do and couldn’t recommend Guthrie Street highly enough.
