We pride ourselves on the stability of our educators. This allows you and your child to develop a strong and trusting relationship. All educators have a working with children check, first aid and anaphylaxis training as well as food handling certificates.
You will be greeted by familiar faces every day allowing you and your child to develop strong and trusting relationships with our educators. Our educators have access to training and development opportunities in the early learning profession and are on track to comply with the government standards for educator qualifications. We regularly attend professional development to keep up to date with current early childhood practices and to extend our knowledge in early childhood theory and development.
We value the role of the child in creating their own learning experiences and acknowledge our role as educators to expand on those experiences; we listen to their valuable opinions and involve them in the decision making process. We believe that by providing a warm, nurturing, safe environment for children and families, children feel confident and capable to explore and examine the world around them.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Camberwell Junction Early Learning Centre curates their curriculum in accordance with the nationally recognised Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This curriculum encourages children to learn literacy, numeracy, science, art and social skills through play-based learning in a safe and secure environment. EYLF is designed to provide children with a sense of Belonging, to recognise and celebrate their Being, and support their Becoming.
Ladybird room (Nursery, 6 weeks - 2 years)
Educators in the nursery room are warm and nurturing people who support children’s development by concentrating on milestones while considering the children’s individual interests and strengths (in fine and gross motor, language and sensory development). The children have their own playground which allows them to develop a sense of belonging within the environment. The dedicated nursery space includes age-appropriate furniture to learn spatial awareness and developing strength. Plenty of floor space for crawling, walking, and sitting with educators.
Caterpillar room (Toddlers, 2 years - 3 years)
The toddler room at Camberwell Junction Early Learning Centre is a carefully planned learning area that provides plenty of space for children to explore and investigate with the educators’ support. Children learn how to make active choices, become independent, how to socialise, and most importantly how to learn.
Butterfly room (Kinder, 3 years - 5 years)
The Kinder program is run daily by a qualified kindergarten teacher. With age-appropriate furniture, toys and activities to encourage the development of literacy, numeracy, art, science, social and motor skills that are essential for life long learning. The Kinder room provides a learning environment that extends on children’s interests and strengths and helps prepare them for the next step in their learning. Educators work with local primary schools and provide transition to school reports about the children’s progress.
