We moved over from WA in January 2026, and we thought we were going to settle in Port Melbourne, so before we even left WA we enrolled our 2.5yo daughter at Ada Mary. We ended up finding a place in Elwood, so the distance for daycare drop offs/pickups was/is not ideal, but after looking at some other centres much closer to home, we soon realised that we could not move Violet anywhere else. She is so incredibly happy there and all the staff have been amazing as well! There is such a warm and colourful vibe, and we are all so pleased with the service, that we are more than happy to make the journey each day. Recently Violet broke her leg and will need 6 weeks off from daycare, and they called us and told us that we would not have to pay while she was off for this time - they are so kind and thoughtful. The centre's operations exceed the national quality framework. Highly qualified, happy, empathic, attentive and committed staff (very low turnover - often staff anniversaries above 5 or 10 years are celebrated). Very spacious natural back yards for each age group so kids get lots of outdoor self directed and teacher-led play time. Beach excursions across the street are a highlight for all age groups. Dedicated to compliance and risk management to highest standard for child safety.

As a family we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ada Mary. Both our boys have thrived at the centre, creating long lasting friendships and meaningful relationships with educators. The care provided to our boys has allowed their individual personalities to shine. They feel comfortable and at home at Ada Mary, something which has made the childcare journey so much easier for us. We have been at the centre for 7 years now and highly recommend it to anyone seeking care in the Port Melbourne area!

Both my children attend Ada Mary and I wouldn’t leave them in the care of anyone else. When comparing other day care centers, this one stood out. With their Exceptional national quality standards rating (most in the area are only ‘meeting’ expectations), their low staff turnover meaning consistency for my kids and the high quality of staff, it was easy to make the decision. Add in the massive outdoor areas for the kids to play in and the beach kinder program I’m so lucky we got a spot here. Highly recommend to anyone I know. Kids are also very happy to attend and look forward to it each week!

We couldn’t be happier with Ada Mary! From the moment we walked in, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and truly caring. My son absolutely loves his time there, he’s always excited to go in the morning and comes home with the biggest smile! The educators are fantastic, providing a nurturing environment and such special bonds. We’ve noticed such great development in his social skills and confidence. The activities are engaging, and we love how they incorporate learning through fun. It’s also reassuring to know he’s in a safe and well-organised space, with great communication from the team. Can highly recommend it to any parents looking for a loving and supportive childcare centre around the Port Melbourne area.

Ada is such an amazing childcare centre, with incredible educators with great tenure. We have been so happy during our 4 years at Ada and can't recommend it highly enough to Port Melbourne families looking for amazing care for their children.

Ada Mary is the most incredible childcare centre. Our son has been attending since he was seven months old and he absolutely loves it! Everyone from the educators to the admin staff are so wonderful, and we know that our son is in the very best of care when he is there. We feel very grateful to have such a wonderful centre in our community!
