This used to be an amazing warm welcoming centre when Gloria was here, but since the new director has taken over the centre... This used to be an amazing warm welcoming centre when Gloria was here, but since the new director has taken over the centre has really gone down hill, so many long term staff have left or are leaving and it just no longer has its warm welcoming apeal, the new director doesnt even greet you as you enter which Gloria did every time someone walked in the new educators arent as friendly and welcoming, the original staff that are still here still greet you with a warm happy smile and good morning/afternoon but the new girls just seem to not care. I am very saddened to see how fast this centre has gone down hill so fast since Gloria's retirement this does not feel like a place i would want to send my child anymore and im not the only one I sincerely hope no more original staff go, the children are already confused enough with all the changes being made i can only imagine how all this staff rollout is affecting these children theres no consistency anymore Read more

unfortunately originally we thought this was a great day care. At the start things seemed to be good and very well managed. As... unfortunately originally we thought this was a great day care. At the start things seemed to be good and very well managed. As a few months went past things started showing this was not the case. Our little one was moved up into the gumnuts room (kindy) from sunflowers and from there it just went down hill. Her attitude completely changed and became very rude and defiant. On a number of occasions we showed up and the kids were being given ice blocks (not sugar free ones) we had asked for this to stop unless they were to change them to sugar free. We also discussed with them on a number of occasions to please stop giving things full of sugar as this tends to set our little one off but nope they just continued to do it. Even up until recently where they gave kids a marshmallow now not only is this full of sugar but can also be a chocking hazard when approached to the educators about this we got in return “well it was only 1”. It was brought up with current director who was only very new and yes she did jump on it straight away however unfortunately it was little to late for us. As that same day was the last straw for us when our girl came home with a bruise on her arm which looked liked she had been grabbed. This was investigated and found to be an educator which was very disappointing to hear. You expect to be able to send your kids to these places to be looked after and safe and unfortunately we no longer felt this was the case at Kidscape and feel they need a complete overhaul.
