Our 14-month old has been at Goodstart for a couple of months now, and has received the best care we could have ever hoped for. The educators (especially May and Mon for the nursery kids) are outstanding - the level of care and attention they offer, not to mention the numerous activities the little kids are engaged in. Transitioning to childcare is always an adjustment, but my son now gives his educators a smile when he walks in (and he's someone who's very attached to mum and dad), and has made friends. Karen the Centre Director actively interacts with all the kids and their parents, which is so nice to see, as well as Sarah, the Assistant Director. As a not for profit centre, you can tell the team are there because they're passionate about education and genuinely care about kids. May, the Nursery teacher, has been there a good 15+ years and I've had the utmost confidence and comfort in her ability to care for the kids since day 1. The facilities are clean, spacious and has a massive backyard with play facilities. We get daily photos of activities the kids participated in, and you can tell they're having a great time. All the educators (no matter what room they teach) interact with your child, which is great, because it will make the transition to other classes/rooms a lot easier as your child grows up. I could not be happier with the care we receive at Goodstart and would highly recommend the Lower Plenty centre.

My wife and I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to May for the incredible care she's provided to our daughter in Nursery 1. From the moment we left her with May, it's been clear that she's in incredibly capable and caring hands. May has a special gift for settling the little ones and making them feel safe and loved. She's built a strong bond with our daughter, and it's amazing to see her thrive under May's guidance. The comfort and care May shows her is truly wonderful. May's experience and expertise really shine through in her interactions with the children. One of the sweetest things is seeing how, even as the children move up to the next rooms they still take the time to pop back in to say hi to May - thats a testament to the strong relationship she builds with all the children. Hidden Gem in the Burbs’ We’ve been at the centre for close to two years. My oldest son has just graduated and will start Prep/Foundation this year. My other son is still at the centre. I have nothing but positive praise for Goodstart Lower Plenty. I’ve broken my review down into areas I feel are important to prospective parents. Educators & Care – The most important part of any educational space. The educators are experienced, dedicated and nurturing. They are equipped to deal with tough drop offs, shy children, neurodiversity and medical issues such as anaphylaxis/asthma. The most important thing that I have witnessed is connection—genuine, trusting relationships that make children feel safe and confident enough to explore, learn, and grow. Leadership - Leadership at the kindergarten is supportive and visible. It fosters a culture where educators feel empowered, children feel secure and families feel genuinely welcomed. An example is whenever we have needed to add extra days/swap days, Kaz and the team have been accommodating and responsive. Facilities – The facilities are fantastic. In late 2025 it received a fresh coat of paint and some general upgrades. The outdoor spaces are brilliant with plenty on offer, such as sandpits and waterplay areas. Drop offs and pick-ups are a breeze with the large and dedicated car park out the front. Food - The centre provides balanced, nutritious meals that cater to dietary requirements and allergies while promoting healthy eating habits. In 2026, they’ve begun to update their menu, with new and exciting dishes. In summary, go with Goodstart Lower Plenty. You won’t be disappointed!

My child attends GSLP centre and loves it. The staff are kind, caring, hard working and have such great calming energy about them. She has made a great core group of friends and enjoys going to see them. I would highly recommend sending you littlest ones here.

We can’t speak highly enough of Goodstart Lower Plenty. Our children have attended for the past few years, and our experience has been nothing but positive. The educators—particularly May, Youfei, Fay, and Sanchita, have been central to that experience. They care deeply about the children and are consistently warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. We are incredibly grateful to them and the entire team for creating such a wonderful environment and for always making our family feel so comfortable and supported.

Our little one has been at Goodstart Lower Plenty for about 8 months now and loves it! In particular, the Senior Educator in the nursery room is AMAZING! May is so great with the babies, always putting together fun and engaging activities for them, and making sure they have the best opportunities to sleep and play. Our little one absolutely lights up when May is there to greet them in the morning, even passing up second breakfast to sit with May and read a book! Other great things: the play space is away from the road, there is loads of parking for drop off/pick up, and the piano in the corridor is great fun! The staff always make time for a chat, and pass on funny little stories about things that our little one did during the day.

My child has been attending Good Start Lower Plenty full-time for the past 12 months. We cannot overstate how happy we are with the the educators and the support we have received here. The educators at this centre go above and beyond to connect and build relationships with the children. Each day when I collect my son, I find him happily playing in the yard and the educators actively engaging with the children (reading books, playing in the sandpit or singing and dancing). The educators go out of their way to keep me updated on my sons interests and development, and always take the time to give me a short debrief on how his day went. In particular, I'd like to recognise the amazing efforts of the Fay, May and Youfei in the Nursery rooms. As a parent, it such a wonderful feeling to know that you are leaving your child with people who are not only invested in their learning and development, but who genuinely love caring for them. We've been really happy with the care our children have received. Their main educators May, Sanchita, and Youfei have been wonderful with them. They always come home happy and eager to share what they've been up to. It's clear the educators create a positive, nurturing environment where kids feel comfortable and supported. They particularly love the outdoor play areas, which are huge! We'd recommend it to other families without hesitation.

The team at Lower Plenty Goodstart have been fantastic to us over the past 4.5 years. We have two little ones who attend the centre and our experience with all the educators has been great. Where possible they have given us guidance, reassured us that our toddlers behaviour is normal, been flexible with days, etc. and keep us very much up to date with daily photos and learning outcomes through an app. It’s also great that the educators don’t change often and that many of the lovely ladies have been there from when our 4.5 year old was a baby, special thanks to May, Gemma, Olivia, Sanchita, Youfei, Fay, Mineli, Judith, Eva, Fiona, Monique, Yao, Jing and of course Kaz. The learning plans are set out early on and expectations are clear. They host lovely Fathers/Mother’s/Grandparents Day events, Xmas parties with the real life Santa and other nice social events as well as incursions such as the CFA, Victoria Police, Essendon football club and a visit from Harold the giraffe. The centre itself is clean, conveniently located on the way to the trains with a fantastic large outdoor yard. Very happy with the team and centre.
