My son has been going to Clarence street for only two weeks BUT all I can say is the change in his behaviour, and speech has improved so much … he obviously feels safe and happy there .. the staff have been amazing and demonstrated a need to get to know him and what makes him happy … which has encouraged him to feel safe and heard when he speaks unlike his previous center. When we drop him off and pick him up all the children look happy and content … and the staff are engaged with the children.

Lovely services, great facilities and staff. My child seems to really enjoy this daycare. I can see she’s happy everyday with Linh and Chloe. Both of them are great at communicating.

Do not send your child to Clarence street early learning centre. Since Catholic Ed took over it has been horrendous. Massive red flags include poor supervision & safety ,unhygienic conditions (dirty environments- rats, cockroaches, messy children), high staff turnover, disengaged/ and poor communication . The Directors, Management the way they treat parents, staff that express their concerns, regarding the Safety and supervision of the children, Is disgraceful. They have no values with being respectful , compassionate or care about the children( profit before kids) Resources are more important than staff and children —RED FLAGS

Conveniently located within the South Brisbane health precinct, Clarence Street Early Learning Centre (previously Mater Early Learning) provides children with a unique learning environment that encourages creativity and exploration. For children from six weeks to kindergarten age, our staff will get to know your child and create programs that help them socialise, learn and grow. As your child transitions through our service these established relationships will help them feel supported and at ease and allow our educators to create engaging learning experiences that capture their unique interests and meet their needs.
Each floor of our multi-storey building is thoughtfully designed to suit different age groups, spark children’s imagination and nurture a love of learning. These open-air environments offer a variety of sensory and physical experiences, inviting children to enjoy fresh air, connect with nature and learn through play in beautifully designed, age-appropriate settings.
We supply a nutritious lunch, healthy afternoon snack, disposable nappies wipes and sunscreen. Families do need to provide sheets for rest time, a hat and a spare change of clothes. We are supportive of special dietary requirements and encourage families to discuss their child’s needs with us.
