An honest review from a parent after a few great years there when it was privately owned. This place was purchased approx 18 months ago by Affinity and over the summer of 2025/2026 95% of the staff have left. A since then this past month alone, many of the replacement staff and last of the OG team have now resigned. The vibe in the centre is so heavy on drop off and pick up. It has been so sad to see a thriving preschool disintegrate so rapidly and the communication feels very generic and smoke and mirrors from Affinity. Many days you may not even get acknowledgment from the staff on drop off and pick up. To have the entire team resign so rapidly tells the parents there is much going on behind the scenes and staff are not being treated well. No information night has been provided to parents to put our minds at ease. They have also had only half of the playground available for play for 5 months. All fenced off for work that didn’t appear to be happening. Half the space we are paying for with no access. New colour bond fencing went up which blocks the kids from viewing the world and made the yard feel dark and lifeless. Based on all this we have decided to pull our child out to to get better routine with educators that know him as the staff turn over is like nothing else and there is only so much temp staff can do with the relationships with the kids. I hope the centre can get its act together for the sake of the remaining kids, community and the legacy of this centre from years before they took ownership.

We are so grateful for the Kincumber Team. Educators are approchable, supportive and professional. Centre has recently changed owners and the team have maintained a high standard of child focused care and professionalism.

All staff very kind very professional and helpful. Very pleasant and easy going environment. Never had a bad day. Just felt so relaxed and and at ease leaving our boy there. The place always looked very clean! We are very grateful for all the care.

Friendly and welcoming staff, community focused and both my kids love it there!

Everyday I have dropped my children off at the beach kincumber for the past 8yrs, my daughter 9y and son 4yr. I feel so confident and assured they will be happy and cared for the whole day, with the educators acting as their other guardians in their life, with the hours they are there, they see and spendtime with my children more than me. and i feel so assured my son, who is there now, and goes to 2 centres but looks forward to going to Kincumber beach and I need to fight him each day to get him there, because he loves his educators and the children ( his new friends), but they are so full at the moment I can't get him in. their supervision and education is so easing and uplifting for me, because I know my children have been thought off individually and observed for their benefit, the educators are so accommodating.

Very poor child supervision and organisation of staff. My child has been bitten 4 times in 6 months and no one there seems to really care or manage the situation properly.

My toddler joined the centre a couple of months ago after we moved up from the Northern Beaches, and she has settled in so well – to the point that she's told me she "loves school" (which she never said about previous centres). The staff here are really special - genuinely caring, professional and clearly love what they do, and the location is wonderful - a great big outdoor play area that looks onto the beautiful green Kincumber mountain (location is also super convenient with Coles, GP, Post Office etc there too). I'm so pleased we managed to get a spot at this special place, if I could give it 6 stars I would!
