My children are genuinely happy to be dropped off, and that alone means everything to me. They come home smiling, excited, and full of stories about their day, the fun they’ve had, and the educators they adore. Knowing they are so well cared for, loved, and supported gives me such peace of mind it makes such a difference as a parent. Each and every educator is absolutely amazing. They are always warm, happy, and welcoming, and you can truly see how much they care about the children. I’m thrilled to be joining Eden Academy Harkness, bringing with me 28 years of diverse experience in the childcare industry, from Assistant Educator to Centre Director, alongside my Advanced Diploma and Diploma in Children’s Services. My passion lies in fostering trusting relationships with families, colleagues, and children, and I’m committed to being a positive role model who leads by example. I believe in upholding every child’s right to a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment that celebrates their uniqueness and boosts their confidence.
My vision for Eden Academy Harkness, is to create an inclusive environment where every child and their family feels safe, respected, and valued as part of the Eden family. I aim to provide a warm and positive learning experience that nurtures each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, ensuring their individual needs are met. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, attending Western Bulldogs football matches, practicing reformer Pilates, and have a love for shopping, cooking, and traveling.

I am so impressed with Eden. The place is beautiful and there are so many tactile and educational items for the kids to play and learn with. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they love their job and the kids. They have such a high standard for child safety and no nonsense approach to children's poor choices/behaviour and so far any concerns (biting) have been swiftly managed. The place is very clean too! My LO (1.5) loves the place and after 3 weeks has completely settled in and can't wait to get inside. By the end of the day they're exhausted from all the fun and play. The extended operating hours are a bonus. I can't recommend this centre enough!

I am absolutely blown away not only with how beautiful the centre is, but also with how quickly my son settled in with the new environment. The educators are all so incredibly warm and welcoming and provide fantastic activities for the children.
