Our son joined the purple room (0-2) at about 13 months. Although, as expected, the first few weeks were tough for our son, the purple room team and the rest of the staff really worked wonders in making our son feel safe and welcome. A few months on and our son is thriving, enjoying seeing his “friends” and connecting with the educators. We are really impressed by the centre’s educational structure and activities based on themes like Chinese New Year, Easter, Italy month etc etc. Also, the food menus genuinely look appealing! Particular shoutout to Miss Zihan and Miss Ruby as well as the management team (Belle and Rachelle) I’d 100% recommend First Steps Marrickville.

We have had both of our children at this centre over the past four years, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a loving and nurturing environment for them. The educators are genuinely committed, caring, and deeply supportive of each child’s growth and development. The preschool program in particular has been phenomenal – I’ve been constantly amazed by how much my daughter has learned while still having fun every single day. We couldn’t recommend this centre more highly and are so grateful to Rachelle and the entire team for the care, dedication, and heart they bring to everything they do.

Our eldest has just left this centre to go to school after four years. We've been there through the change of ownership, and I wanted to attest to how well the manager, Rachelle, has handled it through what was always going to be a tricky time. More than two years since it is really settled with amazing, caring staff. Our kids love the centre, the carers. They want to go every day, and we and them have found a genuine community amongst the other families. Couldn't recommend it more for prospective parents in the area.

We’ve been coming to this centre 2 days/week since our baby was around 7 months old (March 2025), and we’ve had such a positive experience! Our little one is often happy during both drop-off and pick-up, and it’s clear she’s built lovely relationships with the educators. Rachelle, the centre manager, is incredibly proactive and supportive. She’s always hands-on, helping with the children and making a real effort to involve parents in centre events. We really appreciate how engaged she is. The educators are warm, caring, and clearly support evidence-based developmental milestones, which we notice both through the daily updates and during drop-off chats when we’re running a bit late! We highly recommend this centre to any parents looking for a nurturing, well-run daycare.

Our daughter has been attending this center for nearly a year, and we couldn't be more impressed. The team of educators and leadership staff (Rach and Belle) are exceptional at what they do. We've witnessed remarkable growth in our daughter's language development and social skills, which we believe is a direct result of the high standards upheld by the educators. Their dedication and expertise truly make a difference!

We love the community and stability Rachelle and the team have created for our kids. They love going every day, having fun and learning. Couldnt recommend the centre more for those in the area.

The five stars reviews here were for the previous owner - Lee's Learning Centre. It was very good before the change of ownership. After they changed to First Steps Marrickville in Feb 2024, quite a few of the experienced educators left and it didn't feel the same any more. We ended up moving our son to another service and he's much happier now.

Highly recommend this centre. I moved my daughter here after she spent a year and a half at another centre where she struggled to settle. I wasn't sure if it was because of the centre or if because my daughter was unusually clingy, but within a couple months she'd settled into Lee's learning and I couldn't be happier. The carers are all lovely and genuinely caring. The kids are noticeably happier. And I think what also helped was they seem to have consistent rosters so there's always a familiar face during drop-offs. It was also comforting that correspondence/admin is all through the director of the centre (Lee-Lin) which makes communication much easier and more transparent.

Lee's Learning Centre was honestly the best daycare we could have wished for to look after our kids. Many of the carers have been there since the centre opened so it has a really stable, family feel. You can tell it's more than just a job to the staff and the owner Lee Lyn who is just wonderful. Our kids still look forward to popping in and saying hello. even though our youngest left the centre a year ago.
