Chasing Rainbows Family Day Care (FDC) is a FDC scheme based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. A family owned and operated approved Service Provider, supporting quality FDC Educators. We are motivated and passionate about providing quality child care for the community and our Staff have over 30 years of experience in the child care industry. Our Director has been involved with FDC for over two decades and understands the important role FDC plays in the community.

FDC is a unique concept that has been operating for over 40 years. FDC offers great advantages over other forms of child care, many of which are related to the intimate, home based environment. There are some members of the community unaware that FDC is a government approved service run under the same regulations and curriculum framework as a child care centre.

At Chasing Rainbows FDC, we aim to broaden the community’s perception of FDC and promote the unique qualities of small group education and care for children.

Our Vision:

We want our Educators and families to visualise their child’s development as their whole ‘being’ and to understand that children need to have every aspect of their development equally nurtured to achieve success now and later in life. At Chasing Rainbows FDC a child’s development is viewed holistically. All the aspects of learning physical, social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative, cognitive and linguistic are all intricately woven and interrelated. Each aspect of learning is just as complex and dynamic as each colour of the “Rainbow”.
