I am writing this review to alert students, especially international students, to be very careful before choosing First Step Moorebank for placement. I completed 6 weeks of placement at this centre. Throughout most of the placement, the staff treated me well and there were no major issues. However, on the second last day, the Centre ECT suddenly gave me very unfair and negative feedback, without proper discussion, guidance, or prior warning. There was poor communication with students, no chance to improve or explain, and the feedback was given at the last minute, which can seriously affect a student’s future. For international students, this kind of grading can be extremely stressful and damaging, as our visas, studies, and careers depend on placement outcomes. I put in genuine effort, dedication, and hard work, yet the way the situation was handled made the entire experience mentally exhausting and upsetting. I strongly do not recommend this centre for students who dream of becoming an ECT. Please do not waste your time, energy, and emotional well-being here. Excelsia students please be very careful before choosing this centre for placement.

My 14month old has attended the center since she was 5months old. Tbh wasn't the best start but being a new center there is bound to be teething issues. My concerns where taken very seriously and new practices were put in place almost immediately and proven to be very effective minimising these concerns from happening again. Once the staff in the nursery came more consistent along with an amazing new center manger Tamara this center has turned into a first class daycare, for my baby who is absolutely thriving and now jumps out of my arms in her carers arms for a day full of fun activities and lots of love and care. Tamara has gone above and beyond to turn moorebank center into more then just a daycare it is such a warm and loving family environment. Tamara and her assistant manager Bella are so hard working and devoted to all of our children being provided with the best love and care.if you take a tour of the center you will see and understand what I am describing.

My son has been attending First Steps Learning Academy since it first opened, and I can confidently say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. This is so much more than just a childcare center, and your child is far from just a number here. The educators are incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring. They go out of their way not just to assist but to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere every single day, even with something as simple as a cheerful greeting each morning. Mrs Jenny is a absolute angel and I owe so much of my sons happiness to her. The academic journey my son has experienced here has been nothing short of transformative. His growth, both socially and academically, has exceeded my expectations, and I attribute much of that success to the dedication of the amazing staff. A special shout-out is deserved for the true gems of this center, Tamara and Bella. Their commitment and passion truly hold this place together. The effort and care they put in daily never go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated. To Tamara, Bella, and the entire team – thank you! You are all amazing, and we’re so grateful for everything you do.

This is a brand new centre that showed a lot of promise initially (opened in October 2023) but had some concerns regarding their staff retention in the nursery room along with some questionable management practices. They provide all the food and nappies which is a huge plus but I ended up moving my child out of this centre in June 2024. Understand that staff are still relatively new, so I've heard mixed reviews about this place and experienced a few negative ones personally.

Great childcare. We've been through some terrible childcares in the past which makes us appreciate this place quite a bit. Our daughter loves it here and always comes home happy. Definitely recommend

Such a beautiful centre and amazing staff, my daughters absolutely love going to daycare and since going to this centre I’ve seen such amazing improvement in my toddler’s behaviour. Very caring centre.
