Safety

Edge Early Learning Peregian Breeze is unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that our centre provides a secure and nurturing environment where your child’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

  • Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
  • Our Kindy children enjoy Life Ed's Harold's Little Learners program, which builds confidence, resilience, and healthy habits in fun, age-appropriate ways, including body boundaries and safety, and big emotions. It’s all part of giving your child the best start to school.
  • Our supervisory and senior staff complete regular Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training.

Positive experience at Edge Peregian Breeze. My son has been there since he was 5 months old. Lovely staff at the nursery and now thriving in the toddler room. He loves going there every morning to play with his little friends!! Patricia is outstanding ! Recommend

As someone who has been part of this Centre for a very long time, I feel it is important to respond to the below review. A significant amount of the information in this review is extremely incorrect and does not reflect the reality of the Centre and management. From my experience, the Director has always gone above and beyond for families, children and staff, consistently making the health, safety and wellbeing of the children the number one priority. While changes in staffing and enrolments can occur in any Centre, the claims made about mismanagement, intimidation and wrongdoing are very serious and do not align with what I have witnessed first-hand over many years. Additionally, the statements regarding enrolment numbers are not accurate, as there have been new enrolments coming into the Centre this year that have not been taken into account. The Centre continues to operate with a strong focus on providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for all children. Staff are dedicated professionals who genuinely care about the families they support. I'm not sure where this other information has come from, as it does not reflect my long term experience at all. It appears to be based on frustration rather than an accurate or fair representation of the Centre.

This childcare centre is in absolute shambles. Since the many years I have taken children there, I have seen one director leave and another director start. As of the time of this writing (April 2026), the new director has torn this centre to shreds in the short time she has been there. I have seen so much staff turnover. I have seen a massive enrollment drop and the place is looking like a ghost town to what it used to look like. I think there is maybe 12 kids enrolled in the Kindy class and maybe 8 in the pre-kindy class. Years ago there was 20-something enrolled in each class. I have come to know the director well over the past couple years and I have never seen such an incompetent person running any place of business on the coast before. There is so much mismanagement and cover-ups (fraudulent) of wrong-doing by the director (and I assume higher up). I have ALL the evidence. I personally took my concerns as a parent to a national head manager on 17/02/2026 and up till now (over 7 weeks later), not one thing has been done, that us parents can see. This director has pulled the wool over the entire upper management's eyes with the lies and manipulation. The centre staff are intimidated and scared of losing their jobs if they speak out. In my lifetime, I have never seen such a workplace. I only wish our kids that are still there could have the same experience they would have had with previous Directors when the centre had happy staff and there was a wait list to enroll the kids. Its very obvious to see why the centre struggles with keeping staff or children enrolled. We only remain there because I can't get an opening in any other nearby centres and it is conveniently close to my home.
