I am extremely disappointed with this daycare and, in particular, the way a serious safety issue involving my son has been handled.<br>Three weeks ago, my toddler was pinned down with his face in the sand and bitten on the cheek by another child. His face was visibly swollen afterwards. We raised our concerns with management and had a meeting where we were assured that appropriate steps would be taken and that our son would be separated from this child.<br>Today, despite those assurances, my son was bitten again by the SAME child, this time on the eyebrow, leaving the area red and visibly injured.<br>When I raised this with the manager, Catarina, I was told that there was nothing more they could do and that my son may even get bitten again in the future.<br><br>That response is completely unacceptable to me as a parent. I understand that toddlers can have behavioural incidents and that daycare staff cannot prevent every single interaction between children. However, after a serious incident had already occurred, assurances were given that the children would be separated. To then have my son bitten again and be told that there is effectively nothing more that can be done is extremely concerning.<br><br>What concerns me most is not simply that an incident occurred — it is the lack of confidence, accountability and reassurance from management when I raised it. I expected a clear plan to protect my child, not to be told that this could simply happen again.<br>My son should be able to attend daycare without me having to worry that he will repeatedly be physically harmed.<br><br>Because of this, I have now removed my son from the centre. I no longer have confidence that this is an environment where his safety is being adequately managed.<br><br>I would strongly encourage other parents to ask very detailed questions about how the centre handles repeated incidents, how children are separated when necessary, and what specific measures are put in place to prevent the same child from being repeatedly injured.<br><br>For us, this was the final straw. The way this situation was handled by management was deeply disappointing and, in my view, completely unprofessional.

Our son has been at Bloom Early Education Mandurah for about a year now, and we are very happy with them. We had a bad experience with another childcare in Mandurah before, but from the moment we started at Bloom, we noticed a big difference. Our son comes home happy every day, which means a lot to us. Caterina and all the educators are always friendly and caring. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and that makes it much easier for us to leave our son in their care. We’ve also seen great progress in our son, especially as he prepares for kindergarten. The team helps him learn and understand what to expect when he goes to “big school,” which we really appreciate. We invited everyone to our son’s birthday, and it was nice to hear other parents say similar things. One parent even said they chose Bloom after doing a lot of research, and they believe it’s one of the best centres in Mandurah and even Perth. They drive from Falcon to Greenfields just to come here. We just want to say thank you to Bloom for taking such good care of our kids and helping them grow. Thank you very much for everything!

I am very happy with the care my daughter receives at this childcare Centre. I've noticed improvements in my child's social skills, confidence, and learning since starting here. Thank you to the educators Faith, Jammy and Leah to create a safe, comfortable and supported environment. I highly recommend this Centre to any parent looking for a caring and professional childcare service =)

My sons are new to Bloom, from a sudden change of our previous daycare. Starting in a new place can be daunting and sometimes very unsettling for little ones and parents alike but the team at Bloom have been great in welcoming our family and helping the boys settle in. We are excited for our new journey with Bloom 🌻

We have had such a wonderful experience at Bloom with our daughter. From the very beginning, the team made us feel welcome and supported, creating an environment where she feels safe, loved, and excited to learn. The educators are warm, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing, and it really shows in the way our daughter has blossomed since starting. Her room leader, Faith, has been absolutely incredible. She always takes the time to understand our daughter’s personality, interests, and needs, and her gentle, caring approach has helped our daughter become more confident, social, and independent. We truly appreciate the effort Faith and the other educators put into making each day fun, meaningful, and engaging. The activities are always creative and thoughtfully planned, and our daughter comes home happy. Communication from Bloom is excellent — we always feel informed and reassured, and it’s clear that the whole team works together to create a positive, nurturing atmosphere. As parents, it means so much to know that our little one is in such capable and loving hands. We’re incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and kindness shown the entire Bloom team. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

My daughter has been going to bloom since before she was 1 year old. She's now almost 5. The educators there are amazing and to see how much love and care they give my little one is amazing.

Bloom have been incredible for our young fella since joining! Having to make a quick transition from another day care, we couldn’t be happier with how accommodating and amazing Bloom have been. We have one happy young man coming home each day he is there and is excited to go to back. Thank you

Bloom has been amazing for our family. My son has been going for just over a year now and he has come so far from when he started. He has delayed speech but the girls at Bloom have worked with him so patiently and helped him build confidence with his words and they are always patient with him when he is trying to talk. He’s gone from crying every morning at drop off to running in and immediately hugging the girls and then not even saying goodbye to me because he’s that excited to go each day. His confidence and independence have grown so much, his gross motor skills are so good now from all the climbing on the fort as he’not afraid to explore each of the outside sections. The whole centre has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and you can truly tell the educators care about the children as even the ones not in my sons room care enough to know his name saying goodmorning and bye bye every day. The staff always go above and beyond. (Oh and as a last note at home my son is a very picky eater, but he happily eats extra every day of Frankie’s amazing meals!) We love the Bloom family and everything they do.
