At the beginning of the year, I wondered how our son would manage a school classroom. He found it hard to wait his turn and would often give up if something didn’t work straight away. We’re seeing him handle those moments better now. His kinder teachers at Baby College have worked on these things with him, and I feel much more comfortable about him starting Prep. I hadn’t realised how much school readiness happens in those everyday moments.

There’s usually something from Baby College that follows us home — a song, a painting, or an activity my son wants to do again at the kitchen table. Last week I was given very specific instructions about how to mix the paint colours. I’m enjoying seeing what catches his interest.

It took me a while to feel comfortable leaving my son in care. I asked lots of questions in the first few weeks, sometimes the same ones twice. The team at Baby College were patient with me and helped him settle at his own pace. I’m much more relaxed about drop-offs now.

We have a wonderful experience here with our 4 year old son. Kate has been an incredible teacher, and he gets so excited about the Singapore maths games she does with him. Morning drop off can be a bit hectic, but the educators are fantastic at welcoming him right away. Our son is happy, safe, and thriving!

When I pick up my daughter from Baby College, her teachers often share a little story from her day, who she played with, something she needed help with, or a funny comment she made. Those little updates give me something specific to talk to her about at home.

We've been really happy to send our kid(2.5Y) to baby college Ashwood. The educators are caring, patient and supportive, and they genuinely care about the children’s wellbeing and development. The centre provides a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment where children can learn, play and grow with confidence.<br>We really appreciate the regular communication with families via app and the effort the educators put into making each child feel valued and included. It gives us great peace of mind knowing our child is in such good hands.

It’s been so delightful to send my kid to this childcare. She has grown so much from attending this childcare. We now have a small person at home reminding everyone to put things back where they belong. She even tells me when I’ve left my shoes in the wrong place. Lovely to see the everyday habits she’s practising at Baby College coming home with her.

My daughter used to run towards me at pick-up. Now I get told to wait because she hasn’t finished what she’s doing. Slightly insulting as her mum, but I’m glad she’s enjoying herself!

Lately our son wants to carry his own bag, put his things away and have a go at his shoes before asking us. His teachers have been encouraging these little routines at Baby College, and we’re seeing them at home too. Getting out the door takes a bit longer, but we’re happy to let him try.

After a planting activity at Baby College, our son wanted to plant something at home too. Now he checks his little pot every morning and reminds me to water it. I like that an activity at kinder has turned into something he’s still interested in weeks later.
