Wonderful, caring space offering quality care. The Educators and Facilities are amazing, and my child absolutely loves attending each week

Fantastic place- the environment is light and airy, filled with lots of options for different play types and interests. The outside space is huge and lots of natural play options. The staff are all delightful and caring. They take notice of the little things and are very warm and kind.

Really pleased with this centre, they have caring regular staff as well as lovely indoor and outdoor facilities. My daughter is very comfortable attending, always happy and playing at drop off and pick up. Recommend to anyone needing a shorter day of care.

Not the best experience as parents. It is always understood educators are there to put their best foot forward and follow protocol of the childcare in looking after your little ones. My daughter was there for 3 terms and it was visable the enjoyment level of attending childcare compared to 3 year kinder is very different. What was not expected is an altercation with the director and my wife quesitoning the way my daughter was raised, to an extent of asking if we ever say 'no' to our child. A heated exchange with no accountability prompted us to make a decision to take a break from the childcare, to which I accidently said i would like to withdraw my daughter for the rest of the term. As fees are paid in advance, I was thrown by laws and declarations that I signed immediatley. It is much more important to this playcenter that you as parents follow all checked disclaimers and have fees paid for the commerical benefits of the operation. There was an intent post the altercation to attend the last 2 weeks of the term but unfortunately due to illness this was not possible. When speaking to Centrelink, they advised it was up to the childcare's discretion what happens in the event we were unable to attend. Not suprised they are not here to do us any favors. Definitely not impressed with how things have been handled with no accountability. Wont be suprised if they find a way to srub the review.

My daughter started attending Kew and North Balwyn Occassional Care a few years ago and from the moment we stepped through the doors, we knew we had found a truly special place where staff were warm, caring and dedicated to creating an environment that is not only safe but incredibly engaging and enriching. Though it is not our local, it is well worth the drive and we are so thrilled we got recommended here and I would be sure to recommend to others.

My family have been using this centre for the past 5 years. Each of our 3 children have loved attending the centre and all have been very excited to wake up to find out that it is “Playcentre Day””. The activities provided are both fun and educational and the learning that takes place has been reflected at home. They have all learnt to be more independent and confident little people and we have loved hearing their anecdotes about Playcentre at dinner time and listening to them singing the songs on repeat that they have learnt there. They have loved all the staff and spending time with lots of other local kids who they’ve been able to catch up with again at kinder and in some cases school. I highly recommend this wonderful place.

My children have attended Kew and North Balwyn Playcentre over the past 3.5 years and have both absolutely loved their time here. They have always come home smiling and full of news of all the exciting things they have done that day. The educators at the playcentre provide their utmost care for your children and it has shown in the swift manner that both my kids have adjusted to attending playcentre, including stop- starting due to covid-19 lockdowns. Their excitement to attend each week also evidences how well they are cared for in a safe and stimulating environment.

My kids have wonderful memories from their time at PlayCentre. They made lasting bonds with other children as well as the carers. We were initially attracted to PlayCentre due to the hours and it being occasional care rather than long day-care; we have now enjoyed many happy years at PlayCentre. My kids would come home singing happily and telling me all that they had learnt whilst at PlayCentre. We met a lot of local families through PlayCentre and we have carried these friendships on to school with us, it really helped us to feel part of the local community.
