In a few words, what did Bimbi mean to your family? Bimbi has been like a family to me and my children. The educators and staff all round look after the kids like they and their own and this has been so important for me. As a parent, you want to know your child is looked after and I honestly know both Alex and Isabella are so well cared for. What do you feel made Bimbi special or unique? Bimbi is unique because its like a family. Its a genuine care for all the kids. I have come from another centre and i can see the difference. Other centres don't have the rapport you have with the kids and the parents, and it is something i talk about when suggesting a daycare centre for friends. You guys do so much for us, no words can comprehend how happy I am with you all. Knowing you are all approachable and listen to our concerns as parents also is so important for me, and i am forever thankful to all of you. How did your time at Bimbi support your child or family? My time at Bimbi (and i am still part of the Bimbi family) has truly supported my family. When i had behavioural concerns for my child, i had the support of Daniela and the educators who worked with me to try and help my child and I saw real differences. Having regular check ins and conversations is so important for a parent, because it shows we are all hear for the same goal, to help our children do well and thrive. Honestly, i can't thank you all enough, there are not enough words, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Bimbi Early Learning and Kindergarten, we believe that the basic motivation behind all behaviour is the desire to belong, be accepted, and to contribute. When guiding young children's behaviour, we base our interactions with the following in mind.
As individual personalities are formed within the first five years of life, it is essential that children's behaviour is approached in a positive way. Our objective is to stimulate children into desirable ways of behaving and to provide effective guidance.
We recognise children as individuals regardless of their background, age, and experience. Our practices are inclusive of children, encompassing all levels and abilities. A child cannot be viewed in isolation from their families and communities, as they are part of an important family unit and community/cultural group. We value their opinions and encourage them to make their own decisions and to take responsibility for their own behaviour. By listening to the children, getting down to their level, and acknowledging their views, we accept them as equals.
Babies and children need to be treated with the same respect that we would like to be treated ourselves. Trust is the basis for all relationships, and the trust shown between adults and children will allow individuals to develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others. By being consistent with our expectations, we will help the children feel safe and secure in their environment.
We believe that a trusting relationship between educators and children, and between educators and families, helps strengthen the bridge between the home and the centre environments. The establishment of a secure relationship with a significant adult impacts all areas of a child's development. The more secure the base, the more likely the child is to branch out and explore their physical and social environment. The development of this relationship does not happen overnight and requires input from all three parties involved: parents, children, and educators. In our practices, we feel it is important to provide the children with opportunities to connect with the wider community.
We believe that cooperation is a process of working together with other adults and children with a willingness to be flexible, and we feel that the needs of others around us are as important as our own needs.
We focus on acknowledging the efforts of children rather than the finished product; in this way we are helping children to feel good about themselves. By getting the children to share responsible tasks and chores which are age appropriate, we help them feel that they belong and are important. We believe that through our practices and programming, children are encouraged and given the opportunity to engage with the natural environment. This will assist the children in developing a greater respect and appreciation of the world around them.

I consider it my privilege and honor to support the amazing educators at Bimbi Day Care in providing children with excellence in early childhood education and care. Their level of hard work and dedication is second to none and I thoroughly enjoy working in such a committed team.

I passionately believe in the importance of providing supportive, nurturing, and encouraging environments for children and their families to discover new relationships, to discover new ideas, to construct knowledge through play, and to cultivate a joy for learning.

Bimbi is like a second home for many families and educators and I take pride in providing such a warm, homey environment and maintaining such a high standard of education and care at our service.

Daniela - Centre Director, Bimbi Day Care and Early Learning

I am amazed by the dedication of each educator to ensure each child is respected and their needs are met. As I walk through the rooms and engage in professional conversations the knowledge and understanding of each child’s learning and developmental needs flow easily from each educator. They are always wanting to learn more and better themselves, which really drives my passion in my role to help and support their individual journeys.

Carla - Educational Leader, Bimbi Day Care and Early Learning.

Bimbi provides a friendly, warm, and nurturing environment for children and families at our service which allows me to fulfil my passion to educate and care for children in a supportive and team-oriented atmosphere.

Our daughter has been attending Bimbi Early Learning since she was just 1 year old, and we honestly cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful centre. From day one, the educators have been warm, nurturing, and incredibly attentive to her needs. What stands out most is the genuine care and passion the team shows. The environment is safe, welcoming, and stimulating, and the educators are kind, warm and caring, giving children the space to explore, grow, and build confidence. Over the years, we’ve watched our daughter flourish socially, emotionally, and developmentally, and it’s all thanks to the consistent love, patience, and professionalism of the educators. Communication with parents is always thoughtful and clear, and we feel supported and included every step of the way. We are so grateful to the entire Bimbi Early Learning team for making our daughter’s early years so positive, enriching, and full of joy. We feel so lucky to have such a wonderful experience and we couldn’t recommend it more highly! 💛 well done to Paul and the team at Bimbi. It’s no surprise that they have an exceeding rating against National Quality Standards x

I was so upset that I didn't discover BIMBI early enough. If you see this post, put your name on waitlist immediately. Trust me, your future self will thank you. Below are my own experience comparing with the previous care we enrolled to. The previous care was newer and bigger in A.W., but it's like a survival game in the backyard mixing children approx. 2 years old to 4/5 years old, often rough play unsupervised probably due to lack of manpower even educator told me it's very out of control. My child hates to go daily. After change to BIMBI, it's so different once my child settled into the 3 years old kinder. No more refusal to go to childcare and he even start to eat the Neapolitan sauce which is like a miracle to me. I listed few pros and cons below for your reference if you are considering BIMBI. PROS: * Family owned care, everyone so nice and educators knows all the child's name from different rooms. * Each room has 3 educators for 22 to 23 kids for what I understand which is a huge plus for 3&4 years old. As most other childcare is in ratio of 1:11. * Each room has their separate backyard, so no mix age during the backyard play. Best thing ever. I assume this is also the reason why my child doesn't get sick so often. * Outdoor and indoor plays are so well organised, and there are always multiple activities on the table whenever I do pick up and drop off. * Weekly incursion for Kinder 3 & 4. Tuesday - Sports/ Wednesday - Happy Feet/ Wednesday - Italian. Try your best to get those days. Your kids will love it. * There are also occasional excursions to Niddrie Library and Nearby Park. * Most BIMBI kids goes to St Christopher's, so BIMBI also does the after school care which is so convenient if that's where your child going to study in future. CONS * Facilities maybe a bit slightly dated and needs a bit upgrade which I can see they are trying to do end of last year. But not a big deal. Clearly Pros outweighs Cons. No brainer. Highly recommend.
