The rapidly changing circumstances around the spread and containment efforts of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) mean the best sources of information for early learning services are the regularly updated bulletins coming from government sources.

The Australian Department of Health has developed a collection of resources for the general public, health professionals and industry about coronavirus (COVID-19), including translated resources. These resources include specific guidance for early learning centres and families and you can access them here.

To access general information from the Department of Health about COVID-19, including daily updates, latest news, current figures, travel advice and contact details and Frequently Asked Questions click here. This is also a good source of information for parents.

The Australian Department of Education, Skills and Employment has also released an information sheet for child care providers about the support mechanisms in place to assist them if they are financially affected by the spread of COVID-19. This guidance includes information on financial support available to families. Access this information sheet here. To learn about your obligations as an employer click here.
