We’ve been photographing the children at Story House Bundoora since 2019, so we see this centre from the inside, and we work in a lot of centres.
The thing that stands out is the team. They’re relaxed. And that’s not a small thing, because children read the adults in the room. A calm team gives you calm, happy children, and that’s exactly what we walk into every year.
Nothing is ever a problem. In all these years I don’t think anyone here has ever pulled a face at us or said “no, we can’t do that.” Whatever the day needs, they are always happy to help. Lauren and her team genuinely seem happy to be there, and you can’t fake that in front of children.
The place also keeps getting better. Almost every visit something has been rebuilt or replanted in the yards. You can see where the effort goes: into the kids.

Really happy with the overall management of the centre! The team is friendly, supportive and always approachable. You can tell they genuinely care about the children and want the best for them. Communication is good, and it’s lovely to see a team that puts so much effort into creating a positive and welcoming environment for both children and parents. Keep up the great work!

After visiting a couple of childcare centres in the area, I was so relieved to finally find Storyhouse Early Learning Centre. It was wonderful to come across a centre with a manager and team who genuinely care about children and are passionate about providing the best possible care for them.
The orientation was an emotional experience for me, especially seeing my little one cry so much while looking for me. As a mum, leaving my baby in someone else’s care for the first time can be incredibly difficult. Rosaline, the manager, and Yamika were so kind, reassuring and patient throughout the process. They made the experience much easier for me and went out of their way to comfort my baby.
Thi the senior educator who looks after my one-year-old, has such a lovely way of understanding his distress and recognising when he needs comfort. Seeing her respond to his emotions with such patience, warmth and care means so much to me as a mum. It’s reassuring to know that when he misses me, he has someone who understands him and helps him feel safe.
Knowing that my little boy is in such caring and capable hands gives me so much peace of mind while I’m at work. Truly grateful to Rosaline, Yamika, Thi and Sujatha for making this transition a little easier for both of us ❤️

Educators here are always going above and beyond for my children and are so lovely. The director of this centre is friendly and approachable. I moved my children here from a different centre and have been in awe with the improvement to their speech, behaviour and social skills. My daughter used to attend this centre around 4 years ago and it was great then too. They have a low staff turnover as I have noticed many of the same staff that were there when my daughter attended are still there now. 10/10

I couldn’t recommend this daycare enough! They have been absolutely amazing and accommodating over the last 4 years. I happily travel the extra distance to keep my boys here because of the incredible care they receive. The educators truly know my children, make them feel safe, loved and supported, and go above and beyond to help them smash their milestones and continue developing. I’m so grateful for everything they do and wouldn’t want my kids anywhere else! ❤️✨

I was worried about which daycare centre my child would go to, but then I found Story House. Honestly, the people who work there are such lovely people who treat my child with kindness, care and love.
Before, I was always worried about daycare staff mistreating my child when I wasn’t there. But Story House has been completely different, and I feel like I can fully trust them with my son.
My child, who usually wants to be with me every day, now loves going to daycare most of the time. He is also starting kindergarten there! My 2-year-old has made friends and gets along well with all the educators.
I genuinely appreciate the love and care they show my son, and I would definitely recommend Story House to anyone looking for a trustworthy daycare centre for their child.
I also really appreciate is that they keep parents updated through the app about what their child eats and what time they sleep\. It gives me peace of mind knowing how my son is doing throughout the day, even when I’m not there\. Those little updates really help me feel reassured and connected to his day\.

My family have had such a wonderful experience at Story House Springvale South and genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough.
All of the educators are exceptional. They are friendly, caring, welcoming, and truly invested in the children they look after.
The level of care and attention the educators provide is fantastic, and it gives great peace of mind knowing my kids are in such capable hands. The team consistently goes above and beyond to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Big thanks to all educators in the junior & senior toddler rooms as well as Loreto and Monica. I genuinely look forward to seeing everyone at drop off and pick up.
A special mention also goes to Jenny, the cook, who prepares wonderful meals for the kids every day. The variety and quality of the food are excellent, and it is clear that a lot of thought and care go into what is served each day.
We are incredibly grateful for everything the team at Story House Springvale South does and would highly recommend them to any family looking for a caring, professional, and welcoming childcare centre.
