Early childhood teacher registration: VIC
Under new legislation, which takes effect on 30 September 2015, early childhood teachers must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

This new rule applies to all qualified early childhood teachers who are employed as an early childhood teacher in an education and care service or a Victorian children's service.

However, the legislation does not apply to educators or staff employed in early childhood education and care services who do not have an approved early childhood teaching qualification.
