Programs
All included as part of the daily fee.
Gardening club: this supports children to develop new skills, gain confidence and have fun. While caring for plants, children learn responsibility and respect for the environment.
Junior chefs program: cooking is used to help build independence, and to encourage them to try new foods. Children explore with their senses, learn basic maths and science concepts, practice turn taking and most importantly have fun in small groups.
Community visitors: designed to give children a sense of belonging and identity, through special visits and excursions within the local community. They enjoy talks from emergency service personnel, connecting with and learning from indigenous elders, visits to local aged care facilities, swimming lessons, library visits, trips to the supermarket and more.
Sports program: the centre’s outdoor play space allows the children to take part in active sports to get the mind and body working together in unison. Educators focus on improving gross motor skills, hand eye coordination and balance.
Yoga, meditation & mindfulness: the children enjoy taking time out of their busy playtime to reap the key benefits such as the ability to develop greater awareness, manage stress and overwhelm, build concentration, increase their confidence and positive self-image, and feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group.
Sustainability & nature: children learn that they can make a difference by being involved with the vegetable gardens and recycling at the centre. The centre also has their own pets and worm farm which helps to teach children about the life cycles of animals and how they play a part in caring for the environment.
Art & music: the centre provides each child with creative tools and experiences, extending on their own curiosities. Being creative involves nurturing interests, expressing ideas, and working with others to come up with solutions. Music is an essential part of children’s development, and they enjoy the interactive sessions that help develop confidence, memory, language and coordination skills.
Dancing: as children love to dance, the centre offers regular dance classes for children from 3 years. With a major emphasis on fun and creating confidence, dance encourages children to be free, release energy and promote happy endorphins.
