About

My name is Rosemary.

I am a Family Day Care Educator working from home Monday to Friday. I am qualified with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Deakin University and a Diploma of Education. I had worked as an educator for 20 years, with the local government as an Early Years Educator in long daycare and as a Kindergarten Teacher, and from the last 10 years, I am working from home as a Family Day Care Educator.

I have a fervent passion for early childhood education, and now I provide children with high-quality care and educational experiences from my own nurturing home environment...

I am from Colombia. Spanish is my first language and I am continuously improving my English, though my accent is hopelessly stuck. The children get used to it and sometimes they make jokes about it. My accent and background are a good excuse for me to talk with them about diverse cultures and languages, and also to teach them basic communication in Spanish... Oh yes! they all learn the numbers, animals, songs and lots of words in my language!

I arrived in Australia with my three children 25 years ago. Here I met my husband Peter, an Englishman who decided to join my noisy tribe. Between us, we have 5 children, 8 grandchildren… and counting! I am a very family-oriented person.

My daughter has been attending Rosemary's daycare since she was 15 months old, and she's now 3 years old. Rosemary is an exceptionally experienced educator, and she has been a joy to have around the children. She maintains a watchful eye over the kids and communicates effectively with the parents, which we greatly appreciate. The kids all adore spending time outdoors in Rosemary's expansive backyard garden. Rosemary enjoys organizing fun plays and other activities for the kids in the outdoor space. Highly recommend Rosemary to the other parents!

Mi Casa Es Su Casa has been an absolute gem for our little Freya since January. From the moment she joined, it's been a joy to witness her growth and happiness under the care of Rosemary and her team of educators. Freya has flourished socially, making many friends and learning valuable skills like eating and playing nicely. The nurturing environment has also sparked her love for music and dance, evident from her cheerful demeanor every time she comes home.
