Nanny
November 2008 – April 2010
I was a nanny for two children ages 3 and 5. I had sole charge of them during the day, with duties including feeding, arranging activities, outings, preparing the eldest for school. I also strive to keep them happy, healthy and safe.

Mainly Kids – Vermont Street
2005 – October 2008
At Mainly Kids I work with the 2-3 year old's along side 2 other teachers within a team of 5 teachers in the one house. I assist with the program planning for them as well as ten or more profile books for the children. I work within a team to makes sure that the environment is a happy, healthy and safe place for children to learn and grow. I have duties ranging from nappies and cleaning to organizing the children’s activities and learning. Towards the end I was also involved with transitioning the under 2 year old children to join the older children in the house next door.
When I started at Mainly Kids I was working in all three sections of the center the 3months – 2 year old's, 2 – 4 year old's and the 4 – 5 year old's and continued like that for over a year. So I have had some experience in each area of the early childhood center.

Dairy Farm
2001-2002
In September of 2001 I moved down to Reporoa to live and work on a Dairy Farm. My job involved milking 900 cows twice a day and also maintaining the house.
To milk cows I was trained to use the complex milking system. The cows had to be milked twice a day which would normally take 3 – 4 hours each time. The first session of milking was at 5.00am in the morning. The second session would normally start at 2.00pm. I was also put in charge of feeding the calves after the first hour of milking had begun.

Lotto Take the Plunge
1998
I worked for Lotto Take the Plunge in the School Holidays through out the year in 1998. I worked every working day teaching children of all ages how to swim and safety of the pool area. I really enjoyed this job as I was helping Children of New Zealand learn to swim and think safe around the pool area so that it would minimize pool accidents in young children.
