Employment

Summary

“I believe great Early Childhood Education is so important, not just with Accademia but also with helping young children to grow up knowing the difference between right and wrong and I make it my duty to ensure children in my care grow up learning the right skills to be independent, confident and most importantly happy to set them on their way for a great and positive future.’’

Working with children is not just a job but a passion of mine. Seeing children learn and develop and being able to help them through this every step of the way is something I love, and I chose from a very young age to focus my skills in.

My current goal is to find a new position with a family in which I can feel at home and develop my skills.

I am extremely ambitious and want to be able to use my full potential in order to set a high standard for my place of work. I also want the opportunity to be able to grow my skills and learn new things in order to drive my career forward.

Little Village Day Care – Buderim (Casual work while travelling) Early Childhood Educator
October 2017 – January 2018

I worked here as a casual employee while travelling.
Little Village gave me a great opportunity to see other pre-schools and how they operate.

I used the opportunity to pick up new skills and ideas to take back to my full-time job with McMahons Point.

Hotham DayCare (Snow season)
Early Childhood Educator
June 2017- September 2017

This was my first position within a day care away from McMahon’s Point and was a very different environment for me.I loved the work but it was never a settled environment as the children were in care while the family were on holiday. This created an environment where making children comfortable was absolutely key. I feel like this taught me valuable skills, both within life (such as living away from home) and at work and working autonomously.

My duties here included:

  • Setting up developmentally appropriate experiences

  • Helping children to feel safe and secure in an unknown place/ out of normal routine and environment.

  • Preparing full meals

  • Cleaning tasks in centre

  • Comfortable as possible for children out of routine on holidays and out of their comfort zone -

  • Decorations and setting up for special events (Christmas in July, Fathers day etc)

  • Answering calls and taking enrolments/ bookings.

  • Working with Children 0-5 years.
