In this capacity I had the privilege to care and assist people with everyday needs such as personal care, morning and night routines, shopping and meal prep, domestic cleaning, social support and any other tasks that was required.  We also had a Mum's & Bub's Respite Program where I would look after new born babies so Mum could have some time to herself.

During this time I was working as a trainee childcare assistant and was going to complete my Cert lll in Early Learning when the opportunity to work as a Support Worker was presented to me.  I wanted to work in a family environment caring for children and adults. Whilst I was at this centre I worked in the 0-2 and 3-5 year old rooms where I was responsible for settling, feeding, changing nappies, engaging with the children on all levels through stimulating play and educational activities.  I was liaising with senior staff members and parents on all levels.

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I have explored and found my true passion is helping and caring for those in need. I am passionate and caring, with a strong emphasis for aged and disability care.

Currently I am working on upskilling myself to be able to expand my work opportunities and hope to find an ongoing stable role as a support worker within this space.

I pride myself on being personable, patient and sensitive of other’s needs. I take immense satisfaction know I can help those in need and look forward to providing this kind care, whether it is in the form of cleaning, assisting with heavy lifting/domestic duties, or simply providing a little company as needed.
