Please Note:
Au-Pairs (Services Temporarily on hold due to COVID-19 - please contact us for further assistance)
Are: Live-in Nannies that offer a weekly allowance that is a subsidised rate to include accommodation, food, rent, utility bills etc. Au-Pairs are willing to travel Australia Wide so they may not be located in your area, or in the area where your booking/placement is required if looking for a Nanny/Babysitter/In-home Carer. However, we will endeavour to assist with finding another carer in your area to assist your needs and we would provide you with a full brief on the assigned carer/s.
Nannies/Babysitters/In-home Carers/Before & or After School Care
Are: Live-out carers that charge an hourly rate with a minimum 4 hours per day for one shift, if split shift is required (i.e. Before & After School Care) then a minimum 2 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon will be required. The reason these are set minimum hours is because it is very difficult to find carers who are willing to commit to fewer hours therefore meaning less consistency for you and your family.
Please note:
- Our permanent placement fees vary based on the number of days and hours you are offering each week. For a tailored quote please contact us on 1300 011 167 or email us at abra.childcare@gmail.com
- If Casual bookings are received within 48 business hours of commencement of the assignment or made after hours then the booking fee will be $50 (+GST).
- If bookings are remote then there maybe an increase in the agency booking fee, please contact the agency for details
- We offer Shared Babysitting/Nannying Services also (if the children are from one, two or three different sets of parents or if there is more than 3 children). Please contact the agency on 1300 011 167 or email us at abra.childcare@gmail.com for further details (additional fees maybe involved to comply with children to carer/nanny ratio).
Cover Letter
I am a very positive and energetic person with a natural love for animals and people, especially children. I am an honest, reliable, hardworking and spiritual person with a love for the great outdoors, history, drawing, arts and crafts, making new friends and good conversation.
I am currently seeking a live in, long term new challenge/journey in my life and together with my above life experiences I believe I would be very suitable to care for and give each of your children the attention and assistance required to enhance their positive growth and education.
I have recently travelled to Cambodia and five other countries in Asia over the past 13 months to volunteer for children who live in orphanages, slums and on dump sites where I provided care for the children as well as teaching the English language, food preparation and general care duties.
One other very fortunate opportunity I had was volunteering for Workaways. In Nepal, I helped a family restore their home and garden after earthquake damage which then became a source of income in the form of a Bed & Breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed this most fulfilling and satisfying opportunity.
Prior to volunteering overseas, for the past 9 years I have owned my own business co-ordinating and facilitating spiritual and personal growth workshops for clients and meditation for children. During this time I have also held several casual positions in landscape gardening, pet care, housesitting on farms and recently became a phlebotomist.
I believe I am a very hands on type person with a very much can do attitude. After bringing my children up on my own, I am very capable and resilient and can think outside the square to problem solve and find solutions.
I would very much appreciate the opportunity to meet, via skype or by telephone, to discuss the position and opportunity further.
Kind regards
Ann Arnott
