In this summer casual job I work as an all rounder at a children’s waterpark based in the Northern Beaches. My role is varied but my main focus is booking and hosting children’s birthday parties, handling of phone/email enquiries, booking and confirming functions, effectively communicating the rules of the park to all patrons and making sure they are adhered to, cash handling and customer service. Opening and closing of the park, being the point of contact for all enquiries, questions and complaints, effectively putting in place new procedures and making sure they are communicated effectively. Ensuring the safety for all employees and customers are priority and handled in a professional manner.

In this fun, yet challenging role I prepare and deliver aquatic and sports based birthday parties and school excursions for children between 4 years - 12 year olds. Communication and interaction with families, parents, teachers and guardians are a very integral part of this position to ensure the events run smoothly without incident and in a safe manner. This role also comes with a high level of responsibility so that everyone involved is sufficiently supervised and all regulations are enforced. Head counts are undertaken every half hour, reports are provided to the duty managers and always being prepared to provide first aid or other actions when necessary.

As a Nanny and baby sitter, I care for and supervise children of varying ages from a few months old up to 13 years of age. I have been responsible for all the children's day to day needs. Being sole in charge, I was incorporating structure and daily routines based on the parents guidance and preferences. I am also responsible for the administering of medications, assisting in the development of social manners and skills, and reinforcing appropriate discipline to the children when needed.  I am willing to take on and have done housekeeping duties such as laundry, cooking, household management, running errands and ensuring the smooth running of the household.

In my previous nanny experience I have been sole charge for 2 different families on a long-term basis. The age range for these families was 2 to 5 years of age, one family consisting of three children the other two children. In my Nanning role my duties were inclusive of home-stays when parents were away on business or leisure, attendance to large events with the families to care for the children and overseas/domestic travel. Families entrusted me with the family car to drive the children to events, sporting activities and outings. As well as this I would implement at home activities such as; crafts, cooking, and outdoor play to help promote educational experiences like math, science and personal health and wellbeing through playful interactions and fun.
