This job has taught me important skills such as patience, responsibility, and how to help entertain a child whilst also teaching them and helping them develop a strong sense of self. Waiting tables and taking orders in a busy, fast paced restaurant. My job was centred around waiting tables, taking and collecting meals, and taking orders. I worked in a very busy restaurant, and learnt how to work under the stress of hospitality. I left this job due to COVID-19, as the restaurant was closing for an unforeseeable amount of time.

Transport to and from school for two children. In this job my main responsibility was to safely transport kids to school, and in a punctual manner. I learnt safe driving skills, strategies for working with young children, patience and discipline. I was hired from a babysitting website and had the job for just under 5 months before resigning.

GROUPS Youth For Understanding (student exchange)
January 2017 to June 2017

I went overseas to Italy on a student exchange program in 2017. During this time I lived with two different families, both families didn't speak English as their first language. I had to learn to adapt and pick up enough proficiency in the language to be able to communicate with them. Because I went there at a young age, I had to learn independence, through living by myself in a foreign country. I developed resilience, and a stronger, more hardworking mindset.
