Introduction

Hey! My name is Alex, I'm 23 I've always loved working with kids, teaching dance, music and various sporting activities. I volunteer at the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick in the Starlight Express Room. I have done little children's development courses in order to teach in primary schools around Sydney. I've always felt a great connection with kids and feel I am a great influence and role model. I enjoy seeing kids learning and growing whilst being active and having fun! I can be authoritative, but also be a great friend. I am an enthusiastic worker who is open-minded, responsible, patient, motivated and eager to learn. I am able to adapt to any given situation and environment. I am passionate, confident, assertive and able to communicate well in all social circumstances. I have a “can do” attitude!

Caring for one boy aged 2.5 years where activities and duties included preschool drop-off and pick-up on the days he attended and when working full days with him I would carry out activities such as painting, puzzles, trips to the park and kids play centre, musical games, preparing for nap time and bathing etc.

2007 - 2010
Casual Nanny/Babysitter
Caring for children as young as 6 months right through to teenage years where activities and duties included organising stimulating play and educational activities, reading, writing, setting for naps, preparing bottles, changing nappies, daily outings, preparing nutritional snacks and meals and general household duties. I found it easy to adapt to each of the different routines and dynamics of the each families as I understand that each of their needs were different and I needed to adapt to those differences easily with direction provided by each of the families.

I have been teaching dance to children aged 18 months–30 (young at heart) since I was 15 years. I have also been involved with special need music and dance classes.

Since 2008 I have been volunteering at the Sydney

In 2007 I lived in Japan for a few months whilst
dancing in the show “Fantimatico” at a theme parked
called ‘Huis Ten Bosch‛. It was a family friendly show
that we performed every night
