Child Care Worker
July 09 – July 10
Sydney In Home Care.

During my time with Sydney In Home Care, I worked with two different families. One with 19 months old twins and a 9-year-old daughter. The other family had twin boys 4 years one with a brain injury and a 6-year-old girl.

My duties in this role consist of the following:
• Feeding, Bathing, Dressing and assisting the children with other daily activities
• Preparing dinner for the children
• Assisting with homework and assignments
• House duties including; washing, ironing, general cleaning duties, walking and feeding the dogs
• Playing with the children and setting up activities for them to assist in achieving their developmental milestones,
• Sleeping in the room with the twins (2-3 times per week) to do the nightly feeds
• Assisting children getting ready for school/ preschool and drop off and pick-ups.
• Assisting child with brain injury with all medical needs, such as hospital visits, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech therapy appointments, to help in assisting in implementing their programs.

Nanny July 08 – July 09
I previously worked with a family with two children, a boy aged 11 who attended Scotts College, and a girl aged 7 who attended Kambala.

My duties in this role consisted of the following:
• Picking the children up from school and taking them home or to co-curriculum activities e.g. swimming, art lessons, Kumon, soccer, and hockey
• Preparing dinner for the children
• Assisting the children with homework and assignments.
• House duties including; washing, ironing and general cleaning duties
• Taking the children to weekend sports and watching them play

Regular Babysitter June 08 – June 10
I had a regular weekend babysitting job babysitting for a boy aged 1.5 years. The family is located in Double Bay, Sydney.

My duties in this role consist of the following:
• Feeding and bathing the children
• Taking for walks to the park and playing in the park
• Putting to sleep

My duties in this role consisted of the following:

• Responsible for the supervision of the children throughout the day
• Involved with preparation and facilitation of both individual and group activities for the children throughout the day to assist with their development
• Involved with the day-to-day routine of the child care centre
• Assisting children with all aspects of personal care including toileting, mealtime and bedtime throughout the day

American Summer Camp
May 05 – Jan 06
Paradise Farm Camps. Philadelphia, USA

My duties in this role consisted of the following:

• Worked as both a lifeguard and Camp leader for a group of 100-150 children between the ages of 6 and 16 years of age whilst on their Summer camp.
• Responsible for the supervision of the children both in and around the pool area during their free time and throughout the day.
• Involved in a various range of tasks to assist in making the camp both enjoyable for the children whilst at the same time catering for the various needs of the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assisted in mealtime and bedtime supervision and was heavily involved in preparing and facilitating a large number of group and individual activities for the children.
