Profile:

My current position is a Residential Care Worker for Premier Youth Works, Newcastle NSW. My role requires me to be sole carer for at risk children placed by FACS (Family and Community Services).

I have held the position of Sole Charge Nanny for high profile families in London for 5 years. This role required me to have complete charge of the children which included getting them to school and return . Managing homework and after school activities. I was also required to manage the home and the other house staff
throughout the day.
The ages of the children ranged from 15years down to 6 months. This included a severely autistic teenager who required constant supervision.

I worked as a Summer camp counsellor in the USA. This required supervision of children aged 15 - 5years, 24/7 for 9 weeks.

I have been very fortunate to meet some very high regarded and influential people, i have been also fortunate to travel with the family’s whilst working as a nanny. Through my experiences as a nanny working for families I have learnt the importance of work discretion and professionalism.

I have genuine love for children and have enjoyed all my past positions, the rewards of working with children are endless in my mind, i get a great sense of achievement. I am very confident in my abilities to make a difference in the lives of children in a positive way that will help ensure their success in life.

Mary Temperley: January 2009 - September 2010

My day was spent taking Phoenix to the near by parks and cooking him healthy lunch and dinners. We were also lucky enough to spend
our days with his cousin Fox and his nanny. I performed all baby duties including bottle feeding, nappy changing, cooking, bathing. I was on call for long hours, as Mary worked in fashion, i had very unpredictable hours that changed with no notice. I was fortunate enough to travel to Paris a few times for Fashion week. this was a
rewarding position seeing Phoenix grow from a baby to a little boy saying my name. I left when he was 2 and moved back to Australia due to my visa expiring.

Alice Temperley :January 2009 - September 2010!
I working for Alice as her casual second nanny to son Fox. Fox is the same age as his cousin Phoenix. This role I worked mostly weekends in between London and the beautiful country side of Somerset England where they also lived. I would also be on call to babysit throughout the week. Alice is a well known fashion designer and
public figure. Due to the nature of Alice's work schedule my hours were very unpredictable and long. I was fortunate enough to be part of this family and still keep in touch with them. As well as traveling to Paris with Temperley for fashion weeks, I was also privileged to attend the famous Glastonbury music festival in England as
part of my nanny duties. As stated before I had leave this position due to my visa expiring for the UK.

Tania Foster-Brown: June 2006 - January 2009!
Having just moved to the United Kingdom this was my first sole charge nanny position. I had the privilege of spending my time with Toby and Hugo. Toby was 13 when I started and Hugo was 10. Toby has severe autism and required special attention. He is a special boy and taught me a lot, we would take train trips together as his favorite thing in life was trains. He even managed to convince his mum to let me take him on an adventure to Paris for 3 days by train. Toby attended a special needs school 5 days a week. Hugo is also a lovely boy and I still remain friends with him. My day was jam packed with dropping the boys at school and picking them up. Assisting
with homework. I managed both parents houses with grocery shopping and meal plans, washing/ironing/ folding clothes. Dry cleaning, budgeting with nanny bank card. I would clean both houses on ultimate days to cleaner. As
Tania is very busy with work I entrusted with the role of managing all aspects of the house. Tania works as a PR director for a very successful British company that own shops such as TopShop. This meant I had to really show
my initiative in keeping the boys and houses in working order. Through this family i was very fortunate to have the privilege to meet Prince Edward and Sophie on more then one occasion as well as baby sit their 2 children Lady Louise and Viscount Severn James. I found this position extremely rewarding.

YMCA Camp Mohawk: USA summer of 2003!
I worked as a camp counsellor for 1 summer when i finished my HSC. I had many roles that summer. I was given 10 new girls every fortnight aged 13 that slept in my cabin that I had to be responsible for. I would wake them up in the mornings and get them to the showers and then breakfast. Then we parted ways for the day as I had to teach swimming lessons and life guard at the lake. After the day activities were finished i would meet my cabin girls and get them ready for dinner and then showered and into bed. But most of all making sure they had fun at
