Personal Statement

I am a wonderfully warm, caring, and friendly teacher from Wales. I have a love for teaching and ooze enthusiasm and positivity. I'm looking for an active and outgoing family who will welcome me into their home in the Sydney area or south of Sydney region down the coast towards Wollongong. Growing up on the beautiful coastline of Pembrokeshire, Wales has given me a strong love for the ocean and all things out doors which makes living on the coast very important to me.

I am qualified primary school teacher with a post grad certificate in education (PGCE with QTS) and 7 years teaching experience with children ranging from the age of 4 years to 15. I am well experienced and have the potential to be a professional and fabulous full time carer/nanny and would love to become a new member of your family.  I will give my everything to ensure the safe keeping and well being of your children. For primary aged children, the world is filled with mystery and I treasure every opportunity to help them explore and understand it further.

I also have a certificate of education in forest schools. I have been trained to use the outdoors to its full potential as an educational tool, and to teach children to learn to respect and conserve this beautiful planet.

I have a bachelor’s degree in performing arts and an MA in creative writing which makes me a passionate story teller. Being a creative and outgoing individual, I love to sing and get children moving and building confidence in themselves and the world around them. I am a fully qualified primary school teacher. I was trained in Wales in the UK and worked in Shanghai, China for 6 years teaching primary school years 2-5 and spent a year in Qatar in the middle east teaching early years foundation stage. My passion for teaching and the love for nurturing children into respectful and well cultured young minds is very important to me.

After 7 years of teaching primary school full time, I am looking to extend my experiences further by becoming a full time live-in nanny and give my whole love and attention to your little ones.

I understand that flexibility is key and am happy to work any days of the week and work around your schedule and hectic lifestyle. I am here to make your life a little easier and to make your children's life fun and stress free. I believe that children need routine and stability, therefore, having me as a daily part of their lives will have a positive impact on them.

I am fair and honest and will do everything I can to make your day smooth sailing. I have experience in hospitality and am willing to do light housework such as making beds, preparing meals for the children, school lunch etc and general tidying of the house. A huge compliment to my personality is my organizational skills. A successful educator can not fall behind in any aspect of their duties. I can assure you that I am punctual and will complete any tasks asked of me to the best of my ability.

I work professionally and respectful with colleagues and students approaching children with a friendly and encouraging demeanour. Being patient and approachable makes for a strong relationship. The well-being of my students is always a priority of mine along with making them happy and relaxed.

Being outdoors and active is a huge part of my life. I am a keen paddle boarder and am learning to surf. I run marathons and love to hike. I welcome any opportunity to be outside in the great outdoors with open arms. Walking dogs, going for a stroll on the beach, taking the children swimming...If you are looking for a nanny who is willing to keep your children active and inspire them to be healthy and happy, then look no further. Reading and writing is also a hobby of mine and I love story time just as much as the children.

With my knowledge, experience, understanding and passion for working and educating children, I truly believe that I would make a wonderful addition to your family. I believe I am a perfect role-model for your little ones.
