Personal statement:

I am aged in my early 20's and I am currently completing my Diploma of early childhood Education and Care which is almost complete.  One of the requirements of this course is to complete structured work placement within a centre based environment. Working in an early childhood setting has also helped me to develop my skills further.

I  have also worked as a solecharge Nanny/Babysitter with private families so am familiar with working in this evironment also.

When it comes to caring for children I find my strengths to be:

• Patient: I am capable of remaining calm even when faced with circumstances that may be difficult to deal with
• Organised: I am motivated to always make arrangements and preparation’s ahead of time
• Punctual: I will always arrive at the agreed day and time ready to work
• Adaptable: I am able to easily adapt to irregular schedules and unexpected delays that come with working with children
• Tolerant: I am always accepting of different people and their views or opinions

I think I stand out from a crowd because I am someone who has the ability to easily connect with the children on their level, which means I can easily establish a loving rapport with them giving them someone that they can rely on and also a good support network. I also believe that after spending two years studying human health and development during my VCE, I have a good understanding of the stages children experience as they develop and grow.
