Little Scholars School of Early Learning - Yatala Centre highlights

  • Our campuses are designed with nature at their heart, creating outdoor learning spaces that encourage children to connect with and learn from the environment. Through activities like gardening and outdoor play, our little scholars learn about sustainability and develop a lifelong appreciation for the natural world, benefiting both their physical health and emotional well-being.
  • Understanding the pressures of contemporary parenting, Little Scholars offers a suite of on-campus services aimed at enriching family life. With offerings that range from nutritious meals and on-site health services to convenient extras like haircuts, dental check-ups, take-home meals, and even quarterly date nights for parents, we strive to provide comprehensive support to our families.
  • At Little Scholars, we believe in the power of play as a cornerstone of child development, integrating creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking into our play-based learning approach. Our educators, skilled in the latest educational theories and practices, craft weekly programs that respond to the changing interests and needs of our children. These programs offer the flexibility for extended play and exploration, allowing children to experiment and develop their ideas.

About the curriculum

Little Scholars offers a range of studios tailored to different age groups, each designed to enhance learning and development in a nurturing environment. From the Nursery for the youngest learners, focusing on care and comfort, to the Toddler, Pre-Kindy, and Kindergarten studios, each space is crafted to support the specific developmental stages of children up to five years old.

Activities and curriculum are age-appropriate, encouraging play-based learning, social skills, and foundational education.

This streamlined approach of an emergent curriculum supports educators to adopt child development theory and put into practice.

Our educational program is based on the premise that children are most successful at learning when curriculum experiences account for children’s interests, strengths, and individual needs.

The Collective encompasses all aspects of Little Scholars, including a collaborative approach with our children, families, educators, and community.

Our weekly programs, which can be seen in our studios, are responsive to the evolving interests and needs of the children and allow for flexibility and extended periods of play and research to test theories.

This enquiry-led teaching strengthens children to become competent and capable across their developmental domains.

The Collective allows educators to follow the children’s lead and actively explore new concepts, ideas, or interest.
