At Blossom Preschool, school readiness starts from day one. Every day is a learning journey, where your child will be prepared and ready for school when they graduate our preschool.

Our school readiness program is focused on literacy and numeracy through play-based learning and you’ll be able to watch this journey with daily updates via our app. Our Preschool program curriculum is formulated based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), an Australian Government approved framework designed to ensure that children in all early childhood education and care settings receive quality teaching and learning.

• Being – Encouraging your child to develop a sense of self and awareness to their surroundings
• Becoming – Encouraging your child to develop and grow, emotionally, cognitively and physically
  

Healthy and delicious meals and snacks are prepared daily by our in-house cook using fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. We provide 4 weeks rotating menu where every menu is full of nutritionally developed dishes that is freshly prepared for your child every day in our on-site kitchen.

As part of their learning journey, children will learn how to make healthy food choices and come to understand the importance of nourishing their bodies. Our educators are trained to teach children healthy attitudes towards eating by being consistent with positive messages about food and nutrition.  By providing a variety of foods for children to taste and enjoy, we are helping to develop and encourage good eating habits.

Meal times are not just about eating. They provide a fantastic opportunity for children to experience new tastes and textures, and to gather together socially. It is also great for social and language development as well as other important skills like self-help and hygiene.

Our centre is nut-free and fully comply with food safety regulations.

The child, the family and the service do not exist in isolation, as they are all parts of a larger community.  We recognise and view family and community involvement as being very important to us.  The relationship between the family and Centre educators is crucial to the child’s wellbeing as the child benefits most when we work together and communicate about the child’s outcomes for learning. We encourage parents to be involved in what their children do during their time at the Centre and this involvement allows relationships to develop and partnerships to form.

The Centre is active in our local and wider community and engages in numerous ongoing partnerships. Children enjoy our planned excursions as well as many inhouse experiences with community and family visitors.
