Epping North YMCA Early Learning Centre

Our programs allow children to have fun, socialise, grow and learn though play. Our programs help support children develop and follows the national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Some of our favourite programs at the centre include:

Animal learning and discovery with our centre fish, chickens and guinea pigs and part time dog. Allowing children learn how to feed, wash and clean up after them as well as developing relationships with different types of animals

Community engagement sessions with local services including the police force, firefighters and SES to encourage building strong relationships if your family every needs support from these services.

Weekly music and movement program, where movement is the core focus integrating animals, and fun activities to teach children about the importance of movement

Kingswim in walking distance with the opportunity to participate in lessons during ELC care times.

We encourage exploration and learning though Risk-based play, Nature play and environmental appreciation, Indoor / outdoor play, messy play and more.

Healthy, nutritious food is essential in supporting a child’s ability to be attentive, have

sufficient energy for active play and experience balanced moods. Our in house chef provides meals and snacks, prepared fresh daily by our qualified in-centre cook. Our menus are

created in line with the Healthy Together Achievement Program and YMCA’s Healthy Food and Beverage Policy. We can cater for almost all dietary requirements including allergies, and cultural and religious preferences, nutrition will be a key topic of discussion at all tours with new families

Our amazing centre manager Steph leads a team of educators who are committed to using a variety of methods/techniques to facilitate children’s learning and enjoyment. They understand that each child has the capacity to be a confident and capable learner when supported to explore and discover the world around them. A variety of child-initiated and intentional teaching methods are utilised to support children.
