Connection to our Land

Nature play based is a core part of our curriculum. It teaches them vital skills in life including confidence, independence, exploration and cooperation. Playing outside also promotes health and wellbeing and teaches them respect for the environment.

Transition to School

From peek a boo to prep, we’re here every step of the way.

School transition is a major focus, and we work hard to ensure this is a smooth process. By providing a safe and secure environment, our children develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of self for the school journey ahead.

In order to ensure every child is prepared for school, our Pre-k/ Kindergarten classroom is intentionally designed by our Teachers to align with the Approved Learning Frameworks. Our Government Approved Funded 3 and 4 year Old Kindergarten Classroom is run by ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher and Qualified Educators. Children enrolling in our 4 Year old Kinder Program are provided with ongoing support from teachers in preparation for school through our School Readiness Program

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, worm farm, veggie patch, mud kitchen, bike path, gardens, a stage, cubbyhouse and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

Our cook freshly prepares and serves warm meals and snacks on the premises, taking into consideration any special dietary requirements. Our qualified and trained staff implement a developmental program that enhances and challenges each child's individual learning and promotes a safe and happy environment.

A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

The curriculum is designed to meet the developmental stage of the children across three different rooms:

• Koala Room (0-2 years)
• Wombat Room (2-3 years)
• Pre-K/ Kindergarten Room (3-5 years)
