The educators at Ngala Early Learning Centres are highly qualified and skilled. They also regularly engage in ongoing professional development to ensure they are across early years best practice principles and approaches.

The educators are professional, mature and represent a diverse range of cultures. They work to develop secure and trusting relationships with every child so they can support their individual needs. 

The educators are also supported by experienced and professional managers that oversee the operations of the centre. This support allows for ongoing reflection and improvement to ensure Ngala Early Learning Centres maintain the highest standards.

The Ngala Early Learning Centre curriculum is child-led and designed to help children develop their skills, knowledge and confidence. As the educators get to know each child and observe their unique interests and abilities, they tailor a unique curriculum to support their ongoing learning and development. 

The educators document the children’s learning through Educa Software so parents can track their progress. 

The curriculum is designed around four pillars:

1. Everyday

Utilising both indoor and outdoor environments, the children participate in physically active play, dramatic play, construction and loose parts play. As the curriculum is planned each fortnight, the educators provide ongoing extensions to continually challenge the children. 

2. Arts

The children learn about creative expression through a rich arts curriculum. They are encouraged to experiment and develop their own unique style. 

3. Storytelling

With a focus on vocabulary and pre-literacy skills, the educators tell stories that are interesting, fun and relevant to the children. The educators spend a fortnight on each story to maximise the learning opportunities. 

4. Projects

Using STEM principles, the children undertake investigations based on a collective interest of the group. The children choose the subjects of the projects which may take 2 weeks or up to a year to complete.

Children at Ngala Early Learning Centres are given the freedom to lead their own play, choosing what, where and how they play. A meaningful play based environment provides a space where children can practice, develop and learn lifelong skills, including organising, exploring, investigating, imagining, creating and constructing.
