Welcome to Botany Bay Preschool

At Botany Bay Pre-School, we believe in empowering every child with a strong early learning foundation. Established in 2008, we understand the importance of selecting an early learning centre that aligns with each child's unique personality. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality of personalized care, tailored to empower the next generation.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, we provide an environment centered on learning and exploration while embracing the individual traits of each child. Our inclusive culture celebrates diversity, ensuring that every child's individual needs are met.

ELWise, our parent organization, shares our passion for early childhood education and care. With a network of community-focused early learning centers and an innovative services division, ELWise is dedicated to supporting all stakeholders in this field. As the new owners, we are committed to maintaining and strengthening the community connection that has been the heart of our preschool. We recognize the value of the relationships we have formed with our families and deeply appreciate the trust they have placed in us.

Moving forward, we are dedicated to supporting the future development and growth of our preschool, striving to create an even better learning experience for the children in our care

About the Curriculum

Botany Bay Pre-School Curriculum

Our curriculum blends multiple educational theories to shape your child’s educational journey and instill a lifelong love for learning. Designed to enrich each child's unique potential, it fosters holistic growth in a warm, engaging environment. Inspired by EYLF, we believe in nurturing children's interests and constructing their own identity. Our curriculum focuses on providing a supportive and interactive environment characterized by the principles of belonging, being, and becoming.

A Curriculum Centered On:

  1. Collaborative Learning:Our curriculum fosters collaborative learning, igniting creativity while encouraging connection, communication, and collaboration. It aims to build a strong sense of identity and well-being among children, fostering confident and involved lifelong learners. Children are encouraged to express their interests, take initiative, and participate actively in individual and group settings.
  2. Experiences:We believe in the power of experiences to develop cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills. Our curriculum adopts an experiential learning approach, engaging senses and sparking curiosity. Indoor and outdoor learning spaces facilitate immersive environments with interactive activities such as experiments, role-playing, building, literacy and numeracy experiences, creative arts, and sensory exploration.
  3. Communication:Communication is at the heart of our curriculum. We emphasize developing effective communication skills through peer-to-peer discussions, group projects, and conversations. Our language-rich environment encourages children to express themselves, actively listen, and engage in respectful dialogue. We also prioritize open communication with families, ensuring parental involvement through documentation initiatives such as daily diaries, project books, portfolios, and wall displays. This fosters a supportive, inclusive learning environment where both children and parents are valued and heard.
