My name is Rosemary.

I am a Family Day Care Educator working from home Monday to Friday. I am qualified with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Deakin University and a Diploma of Education. I had worked as an educator for 20 years, with the local government as an Early Years Educator in long daycare and as a Kindergarten Teacher, and from the last 10 years, I am working from home as a Family Day Care Educator.

I have a fervent passion for early childhood education, and now I provide children with high-quality care and educational experiences from my own nurturing home environment...

I am from Colombia. Spanish is my first language and I am continuously improving my English, though my accent is hopelessly stuck. The children get used to it and sometimes they make jokes about it. My accent and background are a good excuse for me to talk with them about diverse cultures and languages, and also to teach them basic communication in Spanish... Oh yes! they all learn the numbers, animals, songs and lots of words in my language!

I arrived in Australia with my three children 25 years ago.  Here I met my husband Peter, an Englishman who decided to join my noisy tribe. Between us, we have 5 children, 8 grandchildren… and counting! I am a very family-oriented person.
