Centre philosophy
At Little Stars Early Education Centre, we foster a culture of integrity, trust, and compassion among our educators. Thoughtful and reflective, they prioritize their well-being to deliver their best to children and families. They exemplify respect, honesty, and harmony in all interactions.
Our educators celebrate diversity, nurturing positive self-esteem in every child. Through play, children experience joy, self-expression, and unleash their creativity. It empowers them to make decisions and fosters confidence and a positive self-image.
Play is not just fun, but a vital learning tool, allowing children to explore, investigate, and develop in an enjoyable way. It empowers them with a sense of control and understanding of the world around them. At Little Stars, play is the key to happy and confident children ready to embrace their journey of growth!
Our Philosophy
Little Stars Early Education Centre was formed on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of this country and their connection to the land, water and community in which we operate. We pay our respect to them, their cultures and customs both past and present.
Educators work with integrity and trust, with children, families and each other. Educators are thoughtful and reflective, taking the time for themselves to recharge so their work practices are at their full potential. We recognise that educators are role models for the children and that they learn from us as examples. Educators demonstrate appropriate behaviour and communication, they are respectful, honest and work in a harmonious and calm manner.
All children will have an equal opportunity to learn and will be respected and not discriminated against no matter what gender, age, ability, economic status, family structure, ethnicity, lifestyle, religion, culture or language. We will educate children about differences between children, families and communities and help to promote positive self-esteem in all children. We will ensure families with additional needs are included and will offer any support, guidance and assistance needed. Little Stars Early Education Centre, We value the importance of play because it is through play that children have fun, enjoy themselves and are able to express and let their creative side out. Play is important as it allows children to make decisions in a world dominated by adults which results in a happy and confident child that has a positive self-image of oneself. Play is a way that children are able to learn and investigate the world and also further their development in a fun way, this provides the child with a sense of power.
