| Excellent Family Day Care - I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am that my little girl is enrolled with Shandelle McKeown's Family Day Care. Shandelle is an excellent carer and I can go to work worry free knowing that my little one is having a great time. In fact, when Shandelle comes to pick her up, she often leaps out of my arms into the mini-van and that’s saying a lot because she is a real mummies girl!
I tried other family day care's before and was told that my little one was suffering from severe separation anxiety, but from day one she has been happy to go to Shandelle's.
This is because Shandelle has worked hard to ensure that she is comfortable in her surroundings and feels loved and cared for whilst she is away from me. The result has been amazing, she is much more confident around other adults now and nowhere near as clingy. |

| To the ladies at the Marlin Coast Family Day Care Scheme Cairns office: I would just like to make you aware of how important Julie is to my son. He loves going to Family Day Care to play with Julie and his mates. The feeling he is in a home environment helping around the yard with the veggie garden, birds, painting and crafting is wonderful. There are so many activities that he relays back to me, he just loves it!. Julie has such a fantastic personality and he is so comfortable around her. Julie has turned out to be a great carer and a great friend for my whole family. Thank you to Julie, she really makes a difference to my sons life! I just wanted to let you know that she is doing wonderful things with the children in her care. Regards Rochelle McMurray. |

| Daphne is friendly, warm and thoughtful, and it's obvious that she has a genuine love of children. Daphne conducts herself and her business in a professional way and I know the children are always safe when they are with her. Daphne lays down clear ground rules for the children in her care and she handles challenging behavior with respect and kindness. I reckon Daphne is the best carer around and my children and I feel very lucky to know her.
Daphne deserves her reputation as a highly respected and sought-after carer. Daphne started caring for my children about four and a half years ago. They have now moved on to School and Preschool but still use occasional care on the weekends when my partner and I need some adult time. I feel my kids are in a safe and caring environment therefore we can enjoy our night while they enjoy theirs. |

| When I was registering my daughter Caitlan for Family Day Care I was saying that I wished I had of known more about Family Day Care before. I have a ten year old and a six year old who went through the normal Day Care Centres during their younger years and so did Caitlan until recently. We have just moved from Sydney to Cairns and after both Caitlan and I being unhappy at her previous Day Care placement I came across Julie with Marlin Coast FDC.
Caitlan is a different child now and even after only going to Julie's for a short time. She has settled in well even to the extent that she was kicking me out of Julies the other day and was showing me the door! So yes we are very pleased, Julie is great and the only regret that I have is that I wish we had of done it earlier as Caitlan starts school next year! Thank you for providing great care.

| My experience with Marlin Coast FDC has been outstanding. From the first phone conversation to the office placing a request for care, to meeting our carer, to starting care. The staff at the office are by far the friendliest most helpful staff I encountered in my search for childcare. They invite us to parenting courses, playgroup sessions, email us after visits, forward newsletters via email, host the most wonderful Christmas party for the children, are always helpful with all our questions in regards to CCB and the rebate, we cannot sing enough praises! Our carer is the most amazing person, our little one does not want to come home! |

| I have been using Marlin Coast Family Day for seven years. Over the years I've had different carers and each one of them has become like part of the family. It's like the kids have an aunty and extended family. The staff are wonderful in the office and really care about the welfare of the kids. |
