This month we aim to address some of the confusion over the Federal Budget announcements relating to child care. In our haste to share the new information with you we misinterpreted a few of the details.

But with the help of our contacts at the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, we have clarified all the details so be sure to keep reading to ensure you are up-to-date on all the changes!

We’ll also run you through our fantastic new Get Directions feature on the child care search – it doesn’t just find child care for you, it also tells you how to locate the centre from work or home!

Confusion over Budget announcements Firstly apologies if the errors in our report on the Child Care Benefit changes caused any confusion. In the days after the Budget announcements there was a lot of misinformation in the media relating to changes to the Child Care Benefit, the Child Care Tax Rebate and other elements of the budget concerning working families. With the help of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, we have now rectified the mistakes we made and have updated all our articles in line with the additional details received from Centrelink.
