Vacancy Super Search helps worried parents
find child care fast

With the recent difficulties at ABC and CFK, parents in many parts of the country are bound to be worried about child care arrangements for their children in 2009.

At the click of a button, CareforKids.com.au can show you which child care services in your area have vacancies right now.

CareforKids.com.au is the only service that offers vacancy information online, so that in just a few seconds you can find a nearby child care service with vacancies in your specified area, for the days you need and contact them immediately.

Vacancy Super Search covers all formal child care services. With the simple entry of a suburb or postcode, this ground-breaking system will list all formal child care facilities in a particular area, plotting each service on a (Google) map and highlighting the services with current vacancies in red.

If you are looking at alternative child care arrangements here's a step by step on how Vacancy Super Search works:
  1. Go to www.CareforKids.com.au
  2. Click on Vacancy Super Search
  3. Enter the suburb or postcode you are looking for child care in
  4. The search results will be displayed with vacancies and location plotted on google maps
  5. Refine your search to find vacancies that match by type of care, child's age and days required.
  6. Send an email or contact the child care service direct
You can narrow down the search to show only those services with current vacancies and also filter by your child's age; the days you need and the type of child care facility you prefer.

The search results will also provide information on each service, including fees; testimonials and even directions to show you how to get there - all in one hit!

Looking for child care can be a challenging experience at the best of times and even more stressful when parents are forced into it through possible child care centre closures.

Parents are being advised not to go into a panic over the ABC and CFK child care issue. ABC receivers are ever hopeful that the company will continue business as usual.
Regardless of where you are and whether your centre is likely to close, many parents may like to have a look at possible alternatives should the worst happen.

One of our team members Sophie Cross is one such parent who's been told to sit tight. "I am extremely happy with my four year old at ABC. I am more than prepared to stay with them and hope they stay afloat and open." "In fact I would be gutted if my little girl, who's been at her centre for almost three years alongside most of her classmates, would be forced to go to another child care centre the year before she's due to start ‘big school'"

Indeed most parents with children in the ABC network think the same and would much rather their children were able to stay in their current child care centre than have to find a new one, adapt to it and make new friends, so let's hope the current situation resolves with as little disruption as possible for children and parents alike.

We really hope that our Vacancy Super Search service will give parents some peace of mind that they can find alternative arrangements extremely quickly if they need to, though of course we also hope that as few parents and children as possible are disrupted by these recent events.
