C4K: You and Jaynie both have pretty full on working lives, how do you juggle parenting and work between you?

EP: Thankfully our work hours are quite random, so we always seem to manage a shuffle having someone at home. PLUS we have the magical Nearby Grandparents App! You really need to download it...it makes your wonderful grandparents appear at a moment's notice!

C4K: How do you like to relax on your own and as a family?

EP: Our relaxation AND entertainment is watching the show our 4y/o puts on each day! That might be anything from playing with garden snails to all riding our bikes together- there's such joy in all the little things he does. Relaxing on my own just doesn't seem as much fun now!

C4K: Do you get to hang out with other Dads and go to Hayden's parties and football etc like a regular non-celebrity?!

EP: I love that stuff! There's a few of us dads who nod knowingly and laugh at the playground antics, but I've noticed it's predominantly the mums who go to the parties. As it's all with my first child, l really like going to all the fun events that colour his days.

C4K: What are your main dad duties when you're at home?

EP: We share the lot: baths, feeding, nappies, dressing. Generally we do this by tossing a coin to see who gets to lose the most sleep each night...c'mon tails!

C4K: Would you say you're a "hands on dad", "fair-weather dad" (i.e. Only like doing the fun bits) or a "dud dad" (useless at most things and leave it up to the wife)?! And what would Jaynie say?

EP: I love to remind her constantly how lucky she is to have me in there doing the full daddy experience with her! LOL

C4K: Your new baby is still very little, do you change nappies and do household chores?

EP: Oh yeah, though perhaps the enthusiasm isn't as high as it was for the first one, but we figure we can chase the lost sleep in around 2014

C4K: Does Hayden go to Child Care and what do you and he love about it?

EP: Hayden has two days a week at Sally's Place, a daycare centre on the beautiful cliffs of Mosman. Must admit I enjoy each drop off catching the stunning views, plus I know all the kids are happy, and in a safe and fun place with carers that they love.

Sally's Place includes French, dancing, all sorts of other classes and lots of extra holiday activities, but for both of us Friday pick-up is the best, as there's always a bucket of lollies at reception!
