| We have been very happy at Headstart Early Learning Centre - West Ryde- my daughter loves it. Isabella has been with the school since she was 5 months old and now almost 3, loves the carers and has learnt so much over the past couple of years. We receive daily updates with photos of the children making us feel very involved and and we feel very comfortable leaving Isabella with the staff. I would highly recommend this centre to anyone. |

To ease our initial anxieties, his carer calls us during the day to give us an update. Through the daily electronic day book report, we can see what our son learnt. Our son love going to Headstart, and would not want to go home in the afternoon. |

| Our daughter started in the nursery at Headstart ELC West Ryde in August. Both my husband and I were nervous about our daughter settling in. Nic Hansen (Director) went out of her way to ease our nerves and to make the transition to childcare for our daughter a pleasant one. We are thrilled with the care our daughter has received. The staff in the nursery (Caroline, Sarah, Libby, Shannon and Jessie) are wonderful! They are professional and really listened to us in terms of routines and what was likely to help our daughter settle in. When we get to childcare of a morning our daughter is all smiles and gets very excited when we get out of the car. She feels very comfortable with the staff and I know when she needs it they will go the extra mile to make her feel good. The day book that is provided every day allows my husband and I an insight into our daughter's day and makes us feel so much more involved. I would highly recommend this childcare centre to anyone who wants professional, caring staff to teach and nurture their children. |

The program of skills Headstart teach help supplement the overall development / transition from a small baby into a curious healthy little child. And as parents you learn from the Headstart team little techniques that the trained professionals use in managing a group of eager young rugrats. |

| An excellent childcare centre. It's great to leave my child knowing that they will have a great day filled with fun and engaging activites and be looked after by quality carer's who they know. It makes is so much easier to go to work. The carers actually care about my child and provide a wealth of knowledge around child development. Admin is handled acurately and quickly. The staff are genuine, friendly and approachable. I love the day book email as it gives me an insight to what my child does each day.

They cater for any requests or needs she may have and the staff are very caring. She is in the nursery this year and one of her carers in particular, Sarah, goes above and beyond with regard to her care for our daughter. Sarah has even emailed me personally a couple of times to tell me exactly what my daughter has been doing, accompanied with photos. All the staff take great ownership of their work and love the kids so much. I get emails while I am at work telling me what the girls are up to and sometimes receive pictures of the girls if the carer's think it would brighten my day (which it always does). | My daughter is in Headstart West Ryde explorer's room. As a Chinese background girl, she had no sense to communicate in English at the beginning. All staff and teacher tried their best to help her and some lovely teacher even tried to learn some Chinese in order to help my daughter. She is so happy now to go to childcare everyday. In addition, all our family members enjoy reading HEADSTART WEST RYDE daily book. Staff work very hard to improve multiple skills. We feel really proud to stay with these amazing educators. |

| Both our children attended Headstart West Ryde since it first opened and we have been very lucky to have such warm and caring staff watching over them. Most of the staff have been there since they were both 2 yrs old, so it was great for our kids to have familiar faces around which gives the centre a wonderful family feel. | I have 2 kids going to this day care. One child is in the Nursery and the other in the Toddler Room and I'm extremely happy with the care my children receive. Both my children are happy each morning to go to daycare which for me as a parent is very reassuring to see that they are happy there and also have no tears when I drop them off.

| We have been involved with Headstart since about September 2009 when our now almost 4 year old started in care. Our second son has been cared for at the centre since he was six months old from February 2011.
The staff at Headstart are amazing. They are all caring and wonderful educators. My experience has been that they are all attentive to the individual children and genuinely care about them. The staff have also been approachable with any questions about my children's development.
The meals that are provided are nutritious and they are cared for in a safe and encouraging environment. The daily program keeps my boys entertained and they have a great day at "school" where they come home exhausted but full of stories of the days events. There are various cultural themes and topical themes that evolve into the program. One of the extra activities available which my eldest adores is when the "Soccer Man" comes to the centre to teach soccer skills.
One of my favourite things that sets Headstart apart from some other centres is the Daybook e-mailed at the end of every day with stories and photos of the days events - it's a great way to interact with and talk to the boys about what happened during the day.
I have no regrets that I have put them into care and returned to work as they have learnt things that I would not have thought of teaching them. My children are growing into confident, secure, caring, social and happy little boys which in large part, I think, is as a result of those that are caring for them and teaching them the days that they are in care. |

| My eldest daughter started at Headstart West Ryde when she was 14 months old and made her way up from the babies room to pre-school and on to her first year of kindy this year. My youngest started at the same age and is soon to turn 3. Both girls love their time at the centre and, short of the common clingy stage as two year olds, they have never been reluctant to go and are always keen to stay each afternoon. My eldest will still happily run off and join in with her sister on pick up, to the point that I have to drag them both out.
The staff are wonderful and very caring, happy to chat and give feedback when asked, and the formal feedback and communication is great. Special requests for care are taken on board and happily administered by centre staff.
Food at the centre is also fabulous. I know my girls are/were getting a healthy, solid meal each day. My eldest also has a severe peanut allergy and I was naturally nervous leaving her in the care of multiple people looking after multiple kids. However, the centre has strict food policies and are all well trained and mindful of their many children with allergies.
My eldest left for school with a solid grounding to deal with the educational, behavioural and social needs of school, and I put much of that down to the background that she was given at headstart. It might not be the cheapest childcare option about, but I believe you get what you pay for. If I had another child (heaven forbid) I'd send them there too without hesitation. |

| I was ecstatic to have been offered a place for my 18 mth old twins on the day the centre first opened. They attended Headstart right through until pre-school age and are now in kindy. I hold the centre in such high regard that my daughter also started there at 18 mths and is now in the pre-school program. Next year my son will be starting in the toddlers room. The centre has been a large part of our lives for 5 years and I have nothing but great things to say. The staff (many of whom have been there since opening) are professional and friendly, the centre is well laid out and clean, the food is high quality and the learning programs are well developed and comprehensive. Most importantly my children have all loved attending the centre and the staff are like extended family. The staff are always keeping the parents informed via email updates and inject a sense of fun through organised special events. It will be a bittersweet day when my youngest graduates pre-school and we say goodbye to the centre. I have no hesitation in recommending Headstart West Ryde to anybody :) |

| HeadStart is newly purpose built child care in the heart of West Ryde. We have been HeadStart family from 2009 when my older daughter moved from another centre. She was there until she started school in 2010. She spent a year in pre-school room with fantastic teachers getting her ready for school by learning to trace name, having excursion to local primary school, learning how to be independent and completely ready for Kindergarten year..She started school smoothly afterwards. As she was in two other centres in Macquarie Park before coming to HS, I can say this one is baby care Hilton hotel.
Younger daughter started as a 6 months old baby having 2 days in babies room. She went through most of the rooms as she is getting for a pre-school next year.
Overall, our experience is A+++, Director is nice and approachable, ready to help and cooperate with parents, carers are lovely ladies and one lovely gentleman. Centre also has soccer course and dancing school for kids and my girls loves both and I love that both of them are done in centre, which saves me time driving her on the weekend. Centre has own cook and kitchen and variety of meals are prepared every day, even birthday cakes...
Fees are reasonable and much cheaper than some other centres.
Happy to say happy to be Headstart family.

Comparing another child care Renee had been at, she likes Headstart far more. We appreciate the qualified staff and the friendly environment. Renee is going to kindy next year and many of their education programs in her room help the kids with a smooth transition to big school. There is nothing for us to worry about. I will go on choosing Headstart West Ryde again. |

| This is a modern and large centre, situated in a central area of West Ryde (near the train station & bus route). Have been a parent utilising this centre for 3.5 years and in that time, generally speaking, I have had positive experiences.
For me the best thing about this centre is the staff. The staff try hard and the majority are very attentive with the children. Good staff retention rate - esp for a high turnover industry such as childcare. |

My eldest daughter started in the nursey back in 2008 and progressed through the various rooms before leaving the Centre last year to go to "big"school. As a first time parent I was anxious and felt somewhat guilty about putting my little one into childcare but today I don't have any regrets. My daughter has adjusted so well to school, she is accustomed to routine and structure and she has developed excellent social skills. My youngest has also progressed through the various rooms and will enter the preschool room in the new year. She too has thrived in the environment. The girls have developed into wonderful little people.
The girls have also been exposured to different cultures and the traditions/festivals of that culture over the years which has been a wonderful experience.
The Centre has provided a very safe and caring environment for my children which i can only put down to the dedication, compassionate and professionalism of the team. |

| Headstart West Ryde is a stand out childcare centre in the West Ryde area. On looking for a centre I saw many in this are, and others, and came back to Headstart as the one that stood out. I am pleased I did. My son has attended the centre for two years now, and my daughter will also attend upon my return to work. During this time, we have been extremely pleased with the care my son has received.
The staff and management at Headstart are creative, approachable, flexible and professional. The educators are happy to chat to parents and answer any queries they may have about routines or their child's development, or even just share details of the child's day. This is complemented by excellent communication channels and a day book, including photos of the children during the day.
