At Wakefield we provide an educational program for

• Babies from 6 weeks to 2 years in our 'Nursery.'
  
• Toddlers in our 2-3 year old children
  
• Middle room for 3-4 year old children
  
• School readiness learning room for 4-5+ year old children.

'Wakefield' has been proudly awarded by NCAC with a "HIGH QUALITY" accreditation status since 2007 to 2011. This is the highest accreditation a centre can attain.

Other benefits families mention they appreciate from our centre include highly qualified staff, a strong literacy, numeracy and computer skills prgram, a strong school readiness program, and focus programs through out the year including such areas as good hygiene, nutrition, good manners, road safety, caring for animals, water safety, reduce and reuse and recycle program to name a few.

Wakefield also offers children with two separate, safe and inspiring outside areas to play. Both of our outside areas are approved by the Cancer Council and we are a 'Sun Smart' approved centre. Why do we have separate outside learning areas? Area one is for the younger babies and toddlers in our care. Area two is for the older children. This way making the outside area age appropriate for each of the children in our care.

Inside our centre we have a creative art studio, thoughtfully designed separate learning rooms for each age group of children, a separate audio learning area, library area, and finally a huge dining room where children enjoy eating together a hot lunch daily, hand prepared by our in-house chef.

We also employ extra staff on our team than required by regulations in order to ensure babies and children in our care are offered an extra hand by a floater staff member who floats between our learning rooms.

We are open from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and we provide everything for your Child while at our learning centre.

Wakefield provides a 'home like atmosphere' with highly professional Teachers and Staff to Inspire, Nurture, Educate and Encourage your Child. We employ on our team 3 qualified early childhood teachers and a senior Enrolled Nurse to run our Nursery.

We recommend calling in advance to secure a position at our centre. From time to time we have children graduating to the next learning room and positions become available through out the year.
