At Explore & Develop Artarmon, our main philosophy is balancing an educational curriculum with a safe, secure and nurturing environment for our children.

Privately owned and operated by two Early Childhood trained professionals and mums, we have used our combined personal and professional experience to design a centre which offers spaces for children, families and staff to develop trusting relationships and foster a sense of community.

Our complete family friendly service is aimed at taking the stress out of getting your child ready for a fantastic day at Explore & Develop Artarmon. We provide everything that your child will need while at the centre including;

In our naturally decorated homelike environment children will feel comfortable to explore, experiment and develop new skills at their own unique pace. In addition to our four individually designed playrooms, we have included many special features such as an open kitchen, family library area and a naturalistic outdoor play area in order to extend and enhance the experiences of children and their families.

Our service offers higher than required staff to child ratios and extra Early Childhood trained staff. All staff regularly participate in a variety of professional development courses to ensure that your family is being offered the highest quality teaching and the best Early Childhood service possible.

My daughter started at E&D Artarmon at 11 months in the babies room and enjoyed every day she was there. Now she is in the toddlers room and loves it too. She comes home everyday very happy and chatty, and loves her teachers and her friends. My child is always happy and feels very secure with the environment. It really makes my husband and I very comfortable to have her there. The teachers in both the babies and toddlers rooms are exceptional, very caring and professional and always have the time and patience to talk to us about our child's development. One other difference compared to other centres I've seen, is that E&D Artarmon is a very clean and hygienic centre which is always comforting. We look forward to our child spending the next 3 years at E&D Artarmon. We are very happy with this centre and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their children there.

I would like to recommend Explore & Develop Artarmon to you if you're looking for quality child care service. Through the year my child stayed in the Senior pre-schooler group, she's very happy everyday and she talked a lot to me about what had happened everyday. I was particularly impressed with the teachers of the class who really spent time together with the children to teach them using their heart. They could tell you your child's characters and preference as they did spend time to observe and care of each child.

Home away from home with added benefits! That is how I describe the culture and environment at Explore and Develop. The staff take the time to integrate all the children and provide a great supportive environment where the kids feel safe and secure. We have a 2 yo and 4 yo there. The staff have played an integral role in our childrens development, they are good kids. The learning curriculum is also well managed and the staff are proactive and seem to take personal interest in every child at the centre. My kids are developing emotionally and academically as well as anyone could wish for. At the end of the day that's all you can ask for - happy kids well prepared for the next stage of life!

Our oldest child started at E&D Artarmon almost 3 years ago. We knew instantly that we were comfortable with leaving our child here. The staff are wonderful, and caring, and our son loves going each day. We are so happy with his development and are always well informed about the days activities. We love the portfolio that is done for each child as a record of their early learning years. Our second child is about to start in the babies room next year, and we are looking forward to seeing him grow and learn there.

My eldest daughter has been attending this centre for 3 years now and loves it. My youngest has been there for over 1 year. The staff are all wonderful, extremely caring and always go above and beyond in helping our kids development. The preschool rooms provide constant stimulation for their growing minds. And the outside play area is absolutely wonderful, a lot larger than you would imagine. We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful learning centre for our 2 little girls.

Our son has been at Explore and Develop Artarmon for a year now, commencing as a 12 month old. The staff in the baby room have been fantastic, warm and caring without compromising on policies and procedures needed to run a good centre. I feel they genuinely love to see him every day he is there. The directors are approachable and professional, and right from the start, were willing to help out in whatever way they can. We are very happy with this centre.

I highly recommend E&D Centre in Artarmon. My older son spent his last year in the seniors room in 2010 and he learned so much compared to other centres he attended plus I was confident the staff was focusing on his goals and knew him very well. He loved it and still enjoys visiting the centre when we pick up our 13 month old son 3 times weekly. Baby T has been attending the centre since he was 5 months as I had to go back to work. The staff was so supportive and constantly in touch with me both when he was happy and unhappy, always seeking for my opinion re his routine in the centre and letting me know how he is doing.I couldn't be happier.
