Young Academics Early Learning Centre - Cranebrook

Children can enjoy nutritious and seasonal meals prepared daily by an in-house chef. Food is used as a way to teach the children about the benefits of healthy eating. The children are offered breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. 

The varied and tasty meal program follows nutrition guidelines and offers the opportunity for children to familiarise themselves with new foods and find a confidence to taste and try.  

The Young Academics program supports a connection between hygiene, physical activity and nutrition to improve children’s ability to concentrate and grow.

Young Academics bring together a team of skilled and passionate educators committed to sparking each child’s curiosity and love of learning.  With a family-orientated approach, the Young Academics team provides a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported. The knowledgeable and accredited educators are well-trained to notice opportunities for play-based learning which is shaped by each child’s needs and personalities. 

Where activities are planned around daily routines and curriculum milestones, Young Academics’ educators enjoy guiding children through a curriculum that helps children make friends and learn from each other. 

As a home away from home, the team welcomes parents to be involved in the development of their child’s program, through feedback and regular communication. Educators provide updates about each child’s day through the centre’s free parent app.

Some of the activities at Young Academics include: 

• Incursions: special guests come into the centre to share their knowledge with the children, such as librarians, emergency service workers, or animal experiences.
• Excursions: the children take outings to build their sense of community, to places such as local aged care facilities, local primary schools, parks and shops.
• Cooking classes: the educators enjoy teaching the children how to prepare healthy meals and snacks, which encourages little ones to try new things and develop a love of nutritious food.
• Sustainability program: the educators teach the children about recycling, conserving water, growing food and looking after the planet.
• School readiness program: the educators seek to transition the children from home to school life with a specialised school readiness program, led by a qualified team of educators.
