Roselands Early Learning Centre

Roselands Early Learning Centre delivers educational programs which are age-appropriate, engaging, fun, play-based and research-based. Educators create learning experiences which are based on family input and children’s interests, and cater to a diverse range of cultures and abilities. Educators are trained and experienced to lead programs and classrooms in accordance with the latest information, guidelines, and regulations in early childhood education and care. 

Roselands Early Learning Centre’s Prepare Early Education Program covers six key learning areas for the children.

Literacy

Fostering children’s language and literacy development by providing a rich language environment. Outcomes include extending vocabulary using stories, creating a love of reading, phonemic awareness and letter-sound relationships.

Numeracy

Numeracy is using mathematical thinking on a daily basis - it’s not just about learning to count. Building mathematical skills will assist children in solving everyday problems. Outcomes include counting forwards and backwards from 30, identifying numbers on a 100 number chart, two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes, lengths and distances, volume and capacity. 

Science

The centre’s science curriculum provides hands-on experiences and experiments that stimulate curiosity and the inquiry process, which allows children to explore and discover the fascinating world around them. Outcomes include climate, the human body, and physical science. 

Creative Arts

The curriculum encourages and supports children’s creativity and imagination not only for its aesthetic value but also for its role in enhancing other areas of development. Outcomes include visual arts, music, drama and dance.

Health & Wellbeing

The centre’s health and wellbeing program aims to encourage children to create healthy choices and positive decisions. It promotes confident learners as they discover themselves and construct their own identity. Outcomes include balance of work, rest and play, yoga, fundamental movement skills, health and nutrition, and cultural identity. 

Sustainability

Children will develop positive attitudes and values to environmental learning and identify ways of providing a healthy environment for future generations. Outcomes include saving water, recycling, organic gardening, reducing waste and reusing old materials, how to be energy efficient, and cultural identity.
