Tongarra Road Preschool and Early Learning Centre (formally known as Greenmeadows Preschool) has had a long history in Albion Park Rail and is well respected within the community. They are located across from Albion Park Rail Public school and the preschool has created excellent links between the school and the service.
They are a two room service and who cater for up to 39 children per day. They have 0-3 year old room and a 3-6 year old room. They provide a nutritious morning and afternoon tea and children bring their own lunch.
Their outdoor area is large and incorporates many natural elements including a bush tucker area where children plant, take care of and eat the produce.
Their philosophy is for all children and families to develop a sense of belonging at the service. They believe that it of paramount importance that children develop attachments with educators to ensure that educators develop a strong nurturing relationship with your child.
They also have an inclusive environment and our educational program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
